I'd prefer gas, but I'm in the same boat. I don't want to store it and it would take me forever to get through a gallon. Only have grass in the center of the backyard. The rest of the landscape is gravel.

We ended up pouring it into one of the cars with the next fill up when we winterized the irrigation in November.

Won't have that problem in Phoenix, but even mowing year round i think it would take too long to get rid of.

Would a weed eater work? That’s what I used in New Orleans for our back yard.
Took a 40’ x 50’ grass yard and reduced it to about 15’x8’ because of all the landscaping I did.

The palms are now taller than the house, gives it a courtyard feel.

I used a weedeater at the last two houses. Two houses ago the lawn was literally 12 ft by 8ft so no problem there. Last house was approx 10 x 25 and that was a bit of a chore. I also found it hard to get an even cut with the yard that large. It was mostly crappy grass/weeds so it didn't matter as much, but the lawn now will be mostly bermuda grass so an even cut is more important. Nice job on the backyard btw.

Edit: took the same approach to get that 12 x 8 lawn:

Working on a shelf for the former dining room, now office. Started with a bunch of 2x4s and ripped them down to 2x2s. Everything is glued and attached with pocket holes so it feels pretty solid. Now if my wife will just make up her mind on the paint color....

Got the gas mileage down to 13mpg! Modification complete
Push reel mowers do a great job...no gas or maintenance either. If you want to see how nice a reel mower does....just go to a golf course. That’s what they use, only the reels are on a tractor.

Well lo and behold last night the tub/shower would not drain at all...
So I went full blown figure this out now!
Took the torch to the wye that had the stuck clean-out plug
-> took my 24" pipe wrench and 48" cheater and was able to break it loose as well as some of the other joints around it.
    --> OOPS!
---> found that there was a blockage of about 80% with a big clump of hair covering it
----> reamed it clean re-assembled what I could.
-----> ignoring the minor leaks where I broke joints trying to break the clean-out plug loose, the tub/shower drains the best it ever has.
------> Off to the plumbing/home store to replace oodles of plumbing with PVC and Rubber boot joiners. :annoyed:

Just replacing everything from the tub to the cleanout? Ditching the drum?

This is my thought. I don't think I need the PVC/Clean-out wye with a cap because the PVCDWV -Flexcap in the vent will provide that access?

    That is too logical.

BTW this happened at work today too. My life of the next week will be plumbing stuff together. Broke off flush at the block wall.:frusty:

I wish, that would be an easy snake clean. This is full on rust blockage. This pipe has not been replaced in 65 years and it's the sink that is out of the way in the men's bathroom so the only way it gets used is if there are people at the 3 other sinks next to the door. So the most use it gets is probably the once a month faucet check of every sink to make sure there is water in the traps.

We have all our insulated , cast in ledgers built and installed in the formwork and all the rebar tied in , buttoning up the second side today and tomorrow

Once second side is buttoned up we can install slab ledges in the 10" sections of the foundation and put on the wedges and wailers

    We pour Wed morning

Things will look less insane once we get to framing and get the existing building back onto the foundation
