Yeah, I didn't even bring up the little "bar/veggie" sink. Its kinda just there as a spacer and its right next to the kitchen sink. Really no idea what they were thinking. We plan on tearing it all out when we have the cash. Plans are to put an island in the middle.

I'm honestly surprised that was able to be sold...I'd be crazy concerned about what other terrible and unsafe DIY jobs they did in that house.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Do the cabinets above the bar have doors on both sides?

We did have an electrician install a new panel box before we bought the place. The price was right, but sometimes I think what was I thinking when we took on the project.

Re our conversation earlier about gunnable foam subfloor adhesives , as far as I can tell Advantech basically doesn't exist in Canada , but I did find some gunnable foam subfloor adhesive that my lumber supplier is now going to stock thst I am going to try out on this job

I'm interested in how this stuff works/what kind of coverage you get out of a can... saw it at the local supply and couldn't get any straight answers about it, but the claims on the can are pretty intriguing.. could be the new standard if it works.. i'm concerned mainly about what it'll do to the guns

I've been using it for a year for everthing from subfloors to drywall, really happy with it. Leave it in the gun, clean the tip and your good to go, really really nice for spray foam the control is so much finner then the cans.

Don't think it would be any different than any other spray foam product on the guns

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Don't worry. We buy what we can afford. In due time it will all be completed, and you'll be happier than a pig in, well you know. In light of some of the odd things they did, do an inspection of your own and check for other crazies. For your safety.

What in the actual f*#$.... Looks like your fridge used to be where your wetbar/Dishwaser/OTDW Microwave are now. That's certainly something you don't see every day. Did you look into what they did to when they chopped out a section of wall, built a box on a platform in the garage and ran some loose electrical lines to it? I'd be concerned about what they cut out of that wall. I'd imagine it's load bearing.

It is most likely load bearing, but shows no sign of sagging. I also imagine there would be a firewall concern with this modification. idk
    It will be removed.

Question simply because I don't know any better and I'm genuinely curious. I see all the floor joists are toe-nailed in place. This made me wonder, what would the advantages be of putting in joist hangers like you would do on a deck, vs toe nailing? or is this a stupid question?
