Lowe’s has 10% coupons in every USPS change of address kit.

No need to buy any.

 

Yeah, if you just keep re-registering a new address with the USPS. I don't move that often and I figure the $2 coupon is better than getting whacked with some federal mail fraud charge lol. Also, you have to pay $1 to change your address now.

 

Kerdi board everywhere or just the niche ?

 

You can pick up a kit without changing address and the coupon inside is a standard paper coupon. You don’t have to change your address, pay a dollar, or worry about fraud.

Just info, anyway. Get coupons however you like, just stating they put coupons in those kits. The rest is up to you.

I think this depends on your region. I just moved in November and tried to get another packet in person at the post office near me in Phoenix and they directed me online. They had a form I could fill out to change my address, but no coupons. I did make sure to change my address for myself, for my wife, for my wife's maiden name all separately and approximately 3 months apart to, ya know, be thorough and all. Just a coincidence that the Lowes coupons are good for 3 months lol.

Another good tip for those movers coupons is to use the digital version at Home Depot. There's nothing for them to redeem so it basically acts as a 3 month long 10% off pass.

 

Kerdi is to time consuming for the cost

 

Big day for the basement project. The carpet is in and I have mounted the TV that I bought 6 months ago... soooo close to being done

 

Wedi system. Can build and start tiling the same day.

 

The time it takes to do Kerdi is nothing compared to a scratch coat!

 

Look at wedi. I used to use kerdi alot. No build up in the corners, no seam tape, no speciality mortar.

 

I would if the Wedi rep for Colorado wasn’t a complete tool, I’ve tried to reach out multiple times with little to no response, oh well

That sucks. My supplier is a great guy to work with. He gets it by the tractor trailer. I only use schlutrt on floors and might be changing that soon

 

Either do that, or find someone in the military to do the shopping with you.

 

Got the rest of the countertops poured last night. Went ALOT smoother and is going to take a lot less sanding. Now the waiting game before finishing it all.

 

Need a new thermostat... mine has gone wonky. How hard is it and what's a decent one for not too much $$. Any recommendations on any to stay away from? Thanks
