I have this basic one from honeywell. It's worked well for me. I like that you can program all 7 days individually instead of just mon-fri and sat-sun.

It can be done with a circular saw and sawzall. just measure accurately and draw your line all sides of the 6x6 cut with the circular saw then finish with the sawzall

 it's not doing well in the temp department... had it set on 80* (yes it was on cooling) and the temp inside was 71* with the air on.

    HVAC is original - 2002

    Electric heat pump with cooling

 thanks. Was looking at one like that

Agreed. I have the Ecobee4 with room sensor and it is awesome. Some of the data it pulls is very interesting if you use it. Tells you what kicked on, when, and what the temp was. On top of that, my utility company paid for half of it because it was smart.

No need for a smart one. I set my thermostat 4 times a year. Off in the spring and fall, 62* in the winter and 78* in the summer, and use ceiling fans

Patio is pretty much complete, just in time for summer. Landscaping done and new grass is filling in around it. Next thing is to buy a new conversation set so I can watch the TV I have mounted under the covered portion.

Thanks! I wanted to do it myself but decided to leave it to a pro. Just too far out of my comfort level and I am too OCD for something like that to be done poorly by myself. I could have done the forms but at that point, let the guy have pride in doing the whole job.

So today me and my buddy insulated both of our attics with blow in insulation. We bought 60 bales of attic cat about a month ago on sale 63% off for 13.19 a bale. In order for us to get the free machine rental the lady said she had to refund the material we bought and re charge it. She says it's on sale now, and we were like " we already bought it on sale, how much is it now?" She goes "$8.50"

I blew in 30 bales of attic cat for $255, which covered my entire house in about r-49.

Hell of a start to the weekend. Can't wait to see this summers energy bill.

    Home Improvement fail.

So I wanted to replace they shower doors with frames and glass that matched the rest of the improvements I have done over the years.

I had to get a custom size to fit the fiberglass enclosure then paid more for antique bronze frame and rippled glass.

Friday night I remove the old doors and frame then cleaned up all the old silicone and some mold that had grown under it.
Then I installed the new frame. I took my time to get a good tight fit.

Today I was set to finish the job. I hung the first panel in place and as I slid it to the right to make sure the wheels were in the track correctly when...

I have no idea what happened but hopefully I can get a replacement pane from the company I ordered it from.
