Ok, I'm revisiting the idea of using Schluter-Kerdi in the tub/shower surround because there was minimal damage to the existing drywall when I removed the cultured marble wall slabs. Only potential issue is the drywall in the whole house is textured, including the shower area. Is the texture going to be a problem? If I have to re-drywall that area than I will probably just install Densshield instead. Any insight @OZ-T or @joshua721 or anyone else? Thanks for the help so far.

I saw on the previous page talk about 18v tool brands. I may get shot over this but so far I have beaten the hell out of my Ridgid tools and they work like new. Wife got me a recip saw for my birthday and it is awesome! Along with the impact driver and drill. Thinking of adding a couple other tools and a job light to my arsenal

Scrape texture so no loose material and you should be fine

My old DeWalt takes a licking and keeps on ticking but if it died I would get the Festool Domino

Dominio is my next big one. But I just need one for trim.

I did just pick up another project ipe outdoor table. Might have a justification for the dominio

I just bought the Gen5x Octane Sawzall last week. That thing is amazing. I was cutting through door headers like butter.

Also, the Gen5x 1/2” impact has some serious balls.

So most current deal of the century .

My tool guy is changing router bit brands he is carrying and had all the old brand bits up for sale in a bucket

I've done lots of "what would you rather sell than count" deals with him around their inventory time so I asked , "how much if I take them all ?"

He looked at me for a while , "for you , $200"

    I said OK .

Just tallied up the retail price tags on them all .

    $2347

    Haha

    Mostly 1/2" shank bits too

Granted, @OZ-T probably spends at least half a mil there annually. More of a frequent flyer perk, I'm guessing.

Im enclosing my screen porch with glass. This siding will be exposed on the house side , anyone have ideas what I could replace it with ? Im not wanting the siding to be there in a basically finished room . Im also not wanting drywall even though it will be a heated/cooled room . 20180620_210648.jpg
