One of the guys I follow on instagram who does amazing tile work and his waterproofing is solid in any system made a decent point. He rather do redguard and a drypack, make the money on his labor.

I'm trying something new with glass channel. What do you guys think?
I scored and bent the channel around to cap off the end.

 

Pre-hydrating the plywood subfloor for our upstairs heat pour in the morning

 

Better bond I'm assuming.

 

That and so the plywood won't suck all the moisture out of the concrete

 

Finished the door. Doesn't look fantastic but I am happy with it given what a new door would cost.

Not bad for guys heavy into the system I want a flexvolt microwave.

Anyone have any experience with the pressure washer "surface cleaners"? Basically one of these

Currently just have a small 1700psi (ish) 1.2gpm pressure washer and use the wand for my concrete walkway and pad.

 

I bought a sun joe electric power washer when it was a home depot deal of the day for ~$75. I bought this to go with it, but it actually didn't fit with the sun joe brand washer. Returned it. Check to make sure it fits. It's also very flimsy and doesnt have any wheels or "base" to it. It works based on you carefully keeping it even and parallel to the surface you're washing.

 

how thick will that slab be? 3"?

Well it's a proven concept... They work well if you've got a sufficient pressure washer.

 

is it just for heating or will they pump cool water through it for cooling as well?

 

In our climate we really only need heating

They work great, if you have a powerful enough pressure washer. From my experience with a 1600 and now 2000 PSI pressure washer, they basically just spin. If you are going to use one of these, I would recommend a gas powered 3000+ PSI washer.

 

I’d never use one of those with an electric pressure washer, surface cleaners work great but as mentioned, requires more machine.

I did commercial and residential pressure washing for a decade as a side job for a relative. That style of attachment works just fine, the apron and water pressure keep it from contacting the surface and they’re super light, heavy commercial surfaces cleaners have wheels and replace the wand.
