I have a harbor freight hvlp gun and it works well. Would I paint a hot rod with it, probably not, but for most around the house projects it's pretty good.

sorry for the delay, busy weekend.

for the doors and trim it did very well. I would recommend a more narrow nozzle tip so you can focus your spray a little better. I will say that if you don't have much experience with this type of painting to maybe take a cardboard box and practice spraying boxes for awhile so you can get the technique down to avoid dripping. coverage was great on it. I did two coats and could not be more happy with the outcome, especially doing it myself. Took longer to clean than it took to paint.

disregard to clutter and mess. Still an active construction/living zone.

Installed my cabinet doors in the kitchen. Need to still install the knobs and the half moon drawer pulls but its a huge improvement.

I've painted two houses with a Wagner. Hated it. I hate taping. I have a very steady hand so I prefer to just roll and brush without taping anything really. I hand painted my kitchen cabinets and people think I sprayed them. I am looking for a professional finish here without the insane time investment so I hope this works. Actually stopped in Sherwin Williams today and the guy recommended the same setup you have. He said if I use high quality paints I'll get an excellent finish on par with the super expensive HVLP setups. Planning to practice on a headboard and built ins I'm making for my walk in closet before doing anything for clients.

    Thanks for the info.

Get yourself a few extra paint strainers. That will help as well last thing you want is a thicker glob to go up the line that causes the gun to "burp" (cant think of a better more technical term). I didn't strain any of my paint when I used my gun, and it still worked great, but I was MONTHS into my project of working daily on it and just wanted to be done. Outside of a few drips where I got a little heavy handed it worked perfectly.

Is that going to be a patio table? Is it hard to get Ipe? Hard to find decent wood (hehe, hehe) around here...

Yes for the deck, and it's from the decks leftovers. Ipe is pretty easy to get.

Getting some of the hardscape done at the Ranch as we near the end of job and before the rainy season hits

Double wall formwork to support concrete patio up top with a garden bed below that is less than 600mm from patio surface which allows us to get away without needing a code compliant railing

Poured today with 30m pumper up over the house

Got the gas mileage down to 13mpg! Modification complete
14FB44AE-2B7B-4790-958B-6B5B1C6621F1.jpg Garage is finished, face of garage is supposed to be Pennsylvania blue stone, but I am so busy I just temporarily sided it and Azek for now. Wife calculated I have about two weeks into the structure ( that doesn’t include frost footer and pad) It’s not wired, insulated or dry walled yet but there is temp power for openers. Looks like a busy Fall/winter after I get firewood :)
