    RUN! Diagonal's are the worst!!! I told my wife that she could tell me what to do or how to do it - and not both. So she picked out tiles and I did work...

    This past weekend I installed a 60 gallon compressor along with a dedicated breaker and receptacle, as well as about 50' of galvanized piping to get air into the shop area of the basement. I also built a new workbench with a standing height work surface that's 79" long, and a low work surface that's 42" long.

    They're 2x 2x4 screwed together with deck screws. They were cheaper than going with 4x4's. It wasn't a whole lot cheaper though. I think it's b/c the only 4x4's that they had were pressure treated. Regular non-treated 4x4's probably would have been about equal if they had them.

    When you own your home you are never done with improvements, especially if you are married!!!!
    I'm in the middle of replacing the chimney cap on top of the chimney. Lots of fun considering a very steep pitched metal roof!!!!

    Just moved into a new house and we (I) have already done:

    Paint great room
    Install three ceiling fans
    Dig up backyard for sprinkler system
    Hang up multiple racks for tool storage

    Things to do: (Oh crap this is a long list)
    paint master, walk in closet, guest rooms (3 of them) kitchen, parlor and garage
    install new vanities in the bathrooms
    coat garage floor
    install sprinkler system
    put grass in
    extend porch area with pavers

    I'm sure there's more, but that's all I've been told for now lol

    Good news is, I get to buy new tools to do the work :woot:

    I`ve been working on a new bathroom on the main level of our loghome. We bought it almost 5 1/2 yrs ago and and I have been remodeling it ever since. I`m not sure why they never put a bathroom on the main level , but I`m converting a 8'x12' office into a bath room. Saned and clear coated all the logs, installed oake wood flooring, installed some cool oak pannelling we had milled up, and installed some of the plumbing and got a toilet installed and working yesterday. I`m putting in a cast iron slipper clawfoot tub for my wife, she loves those thing!! I`ll try to shot a couple of pictures.
