I couldnt find specifically galvanized but scrap steel goes for .04Cts a pound here...I dont know if they lump it the same as scrap steel

 

I anticipate it to be a little bit better than that, but not by much

 

It's for this exact reason I have a tool kit in my vehicle at all times. Never know when you will need it. be shocked how often I've found uses for a length of paracord too.

 

yep, I got some cresent wrenches, jumper cables, tow strap and some other sockets wratchet etc.

 

No power to any of this.

 

Looks like daisy chained? You have power anywhere else on the circuit?
If not, check the breaker

 

where on the wall was this in the master bath? might check the circuit breaker for that particular line. the line on the right is usually power coming in then they go power out to the line on the left and down. but not always could be any combo of this. Sometimes you have to check the circuit breaker at the panel and see if its got power there and if the line going to that havent come loose for some reason--Ive seen it so it does happen. try resetting the circuit breaker for that line and see if it resets. Other than that you have to follow the lines and see where they go. Should basically go from the Circuit breaker panel/circuit breaker to the line to the particular GFCI. Could be 2 or more GFCI's in one line.

 

is it a new GFCI? I'm not an electrician, but I know I've had GFCI's that cannot be wired they way yours is. Maybe the hot (black) needs to go to the line terminal next to where it is wired currently. With the neutral staying where it is. If it is new, ensure you read the the wiring instructions carefully.

If you have one, use a Pen style voltage tester and stick it in the box. See if there is any voltage coming into that gang box at all. If there is none, then you have to trace it back to the next hop, going all the way back to the breaker until you identify the point of failure

 

Also the first pic looks like the GFCI isnt reset

But I'm not picking up any voltage to any of the wires in the box with a voltmeter or non-contact tester either.

All other GFCI's and outlets work except aforementioned outdoor outlet. All breakers are on and have power.

This is in our hallway bathroom. I've checked all the other GFCI's none are tripped. Unless there's one hidden somewhere. I need to have my panel replaced still anyways. Maybe I'll just tack this onto the bill. Though I fear it'll require some demo to find where these wires go.

you said you have an outside outlet not working also? How close is that to the hall bathroom? maybe a wire is broke at the back of the outside outlet or the nearest GFCI outlet. Also how close is the hall bath from your master bath? do all fans and heaters work in the bathrooms? maybe go in the attic and see if theres any damage that can be seen above the hall bath. Maybe a squirrel/rat/raccoon...etc..

 

Nope, its reset. no power.

 

I still think its upstream of the hall bath...usually they are connected to the master bath. Like ours the hall bath doesnt have a GFCI but is connected to the master bath outlet, so if it trips usually its the hall bath overloaded it.
