Door's weather stripping is definitely bad, only about a foot left of it, rest looks to have torn off at some point. Can't believe the inspectors didn't point it out.

Most of the ceiling is taped. Except a few newer looking panels with 1/8" gaps between them. I can see that there's no insulation up there either. I'm thinking a leak at some point that was fixed because the hall bath is right above the newer panels. Also there is a vent in the garage that I threw some sheet magnets on to try to seal it off.

In the mean time I bought a 7'x7' shed to house the mower. Don't want to chance it.
Also gets all the other yard tools out of my work space.

Start with the door weatherstrip and see where that gets you

Yeah I'm on that. I need to pull down all the drywall on the ceiling and see what's going on there. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
Also the vent run that goes through my garage, was wondering if there was a low profile duct I could swap it out for so I don't obliterate my head again. I'm 6'4" and the bottom of the vent is exactly 6' from the floor.

Moved into the 140 year old farmhouse a few weeks ago. Slowly getting settled in. Lots of storage items to install until we can finally get settled. Shelves/built in/cabinet storage pieces etc. It’s nice to be living in the culmination of almost a year of work though. 2BFE6869-8C00-4A88-A206-7A72033DE35F.jpg

    Absolutely, unequivocally, 100%, no question.

Her name is Katie, and she pushed a 3'x6' mirror into the floor at 4am yesterday morning. A mirror that has leaned against the wall in 6 different homes over the last 15 years and never gone anywhere.

One of the upstairs bedroom doors had it carved into it, so we went with it.

Don't have one of the door. But the outside is still pretty spoopy looking until it gets painted next month.0418190834b.jpg

Yeah no doubt that place is haunted...

Do you have kids that Katie’s spirit may take over?

Not yet. She's going to have to roam a few more years for that.

What's everyone use for workshop dust collection? Over the course of all my wood projects the dust gets crazy and my wife refuses to venture inside till all the dust has settled.

I have a Delta dust collector, with a long hose. I attach the hose to the saw/device I am using. A minor annoyance, but I didn't want to run permanent hoses throughout my basement shop. Since it's just me working, I don't need dust collection for multiple machines simultaneously.

For smaller machines, I hook up my shop vac.
