He asked for opinions. We are just being honest about it.

To OP’s credit, he does have a jack set up as a third contact point.

Depends on what you’re doing. Tire rotation, sure. Crawling under the truck wrenching on stuff, I’d get real jack stands.

I'd be more comfortable if they weren't sitting on the end grain and had some feet.

    It's a pretty serious subject.

To act like the thing preventing you from being crushed by a two ton vehicle isn't serious is asinine.

    Sketchy as hell.

But as you stated, you already knew this.

You created this thread to stir shit up, but don't want others to come in here dishing it back?

    You're a moron.

I've never known anyone to suffer such a fate, but I know a good friend of mine lost their own friend to this type of tragedy.

I've been using blocks probably the same length for years. But I got some screws just short so they don't stick out. Drill holes a little smaller than the screws, then drive them in. Keeps the wood from splitting.

If you have 2 more to make em triples instead of doubles, that would be better. If you're on uneven ground, leave the nuts loose so they sorta grab the ground.

I used to use 4x4s, I forget, maybe 6, to make a big square, 2 long bolts, washers, welded the nuts on loose. This would be the base to set jacks on to lift a railroad car, around 100k#.
