love the concept...i have a bestop currently and would have picked this concept over the bestop most likely...no side windows would be a downer, but damn this is slick...

can't wait to see the project come to life

I hadn't really thought about it! I'll throw some on in the next rendering while I work on getting more money and supplies together!

And in the process I'll draw it folded up! Trying to keep myself busy until I start building! :D Boy I wish this paycheck would come sooner...

keep in mind that the plastic would have to fold up nicely or be easily removed...the bestop's side windows remove allowing you to fold it down...

I'll see how easy it is to have the whole side just be able to zipper out. Or just fold up... that would probably work better. I'll play around with ideas, have some time before I get the cover sewn up.

Dude, that looks awesome. Are you going to do the sewing all yourself? I am assuming you will be using some sort of material like Cordura or some such, heavier than the average tent nylon, etc.
If you are trying to keep the budget below cloud level check with your local boat marinas for used bimini top frames. Also, I know a dude that does the sewing with long arm sewing machines. He does upholstery, bimini tops and boat covers, etc. He is Amish and likely the best price you can find. Get some quotes. If you are interested in this guy I can bounce it off him for at least a ballpark figure.
Once you have your patterns made and acquire the material UPSing it to him for the sewing work might be your best option cost wise.
