    Headed over to the land where they pump the gas for you today...



    The final piece for the crawlbox saga was to mount up the new extended BudBuilt t-case skid.
    Due to the fact this piece seemed to take the most abuse Ant recommended reinforcing it with some 1" angle iron. :cool:



    The man can fucking weld...




    stitch welds for days...


    fits.


    Another small job: the CBI tire carrier used bolts that were not attached to the mount to hold the tire on. A real PITA because you needed a 3/4" wrench to hold them from behind to take the tire off. Ant tack welded them in place. Problem solved. :cool:




    One last small item: swapped out the locker switches to match the auto pilot switch from OTRATTW.

    So now all the skids and cross member will go to powder coat Monday. Last item is to swap the LCA bolts and get an alignment. Mount up the tent & fairing and I'll be ready for Gulches. :yay:

    yes. The company that does the mesh for me will hook me up & it will be a much more durable finish that what I can do. I'd rather just touch up the p/c than have to re-coat the whole thing...

    I would seal up the ends of all those pieces of angle. Those crevices are just gonna pack with mud and never clean out. That skid will get even heavier.

    Amazing how much shit I get from People because all my armor is powdercoated. Way better bond especially since they see so much road spray. I just touch up the gouges and scratches with a Dupli color bed liner that matches my textured matte black perfect.
