Yes OEM. the aftermarket MOOG ones are complete crap.

 

Where did you end up getting the OEM from?

 

I have a wholesale setup with the parts department at a local dealership. Mostly for grills but handy when I need other stuff.

 

I'm going to be shopping around, as I'm sure you know prices from the dealerships range greatly. I like to give my local dealership buisness, but they are very high on their prices. Thanks as always for the info!

Good to know I was just about to get those Moog ones, my driver LCA isn't tightening down all the way for me and knocking a lot

 

that might be a LCA Bushing issue, not a bolt.

 

That's another thing I was looking into, I think Energy Suspension makes some new bushings and Moog does too but after his review I may go with the first

 

When it comes to the LCA's & replacing parts my thoughts are to just go with OEM. Unless you can break the bank and go for a fully aftermarket set the OEM's are pretty stout. The failing being the OEM Cam bolt sleeves seizing... That can be avoided with maintenance though.
My understanding of the energy system is you have to re-use the OEM metal sleeves which is why I sold the kit I bought in favor of the OEM.
Also to me it would be much more cost effective to just purchase the full LCA w/ bushings - rebuilding & pressing new ones in was very time consuming. In the end I could have spent the time making grills earning more $ than the LCA's cost...

We pressed out....err....a machinist for elevator companies pressed out the bushings of the 4-link bars, for Lucario Runner's 4Runner last weekend. His pneumatic press was given quite the fight. Made that frame jump around every time the bushing snap moved a little. Not easy for the DIY'er. His were replaced with Energy Suspension. Two 8 hour days to accomplish the task, of trying to do it ourselves before going there.

 

I had my father in laws shop do the press work for me too.
I've started to take a harder look at "part cost vs. labor" on replacement stuff.
Funny - I was just talking with Jerry about this 30min ago.

 

I would have another hobby if I had to pay labor for everything done to my truck....
