That is some beautiful shift boot work. Especially with being able to keep it within that little pen/phone holder area.

So if no crawl box the fj case j stick would come out in that same area (pen holder place)?

 

I thought the previous years had a different console? Maybe its just the area behind that with the cupholders

True. Maybe i just got lucky or figured out correctly which one was causing my problem cause it was definitely the shitty add actuator with water in it. Eventually ill throw in a manual case im sure just to avoid issues like you have.

 

Thanks, I put a little effort into them lol. And yeah, but I am not sure if the width would accommodate the lateral movement of the J pattern.

I roll the boot around a steel frame and then rivet it to the surface from underneath, gives a nice clean factory look when done.

 

See it would be awesome to make the j shift come thru the little can cupholder for cleanness and to save the big cupholders.

Its actually the only way I could come up with to make everything work within that space... May look wrong but it feels just right.
Once the boot is on and the trans stick is black things will clean up a bit more.

That Hurst T handle has been in every Toyota truck I've ever owned.

Just ordered some of this metal rescue hoping it will clean up my kings as good as it worked on your foxes.

 

Just make sure you use a good clear-coat afterward- NOT Krylon or Rustoleum.
