    side note, you had the uniballs replaced in your UCA's right?

    today I replaced the LCA ball joints and wheel bearings, and tried to replace the UCA uniballs. removing them was more difficult than the LCA ball joints, and installing the new ones has been impossible so far. just can't get it to seat nice and square. any idea how your FIL did it?

    I'm going to clear coat the bare metal on the threads of the coils but the resi's were pretty corroded too. I took a wire wheel dremmel bit to them and then so e 600 grit paper. Doused them with surface prep and rattle canned them the same metallic gray as the coil springs.
    I'll get Conor to make me a set of a Fox stickers for them before I install them. :D

    Yes, I got a set of SS uniballs from DSM to replace the factory chromoly ones.
    My FIL has a full service shop with every tool imaginable - I did not watch him do it I just dropped them of & picked them up a few days later. :eek:

    Honestly Mark, the results of the metal rescue were beyond my expectations. 8 hours of soak and about 5 min with a small wire brush and they look near new! :D
