So they are not a beadlock per se. But the rim does come apart so it is easier to install an internal beadlock and mount /unmount tires?

On a note with the steel wheels, they have a nasty habit of shearing the lug mounting face off of the rest of the wheel when under heavy loads, like 35's.

On a side note, from what I can gather a good set of forged alloy wheels are much stronger than a set of steel wheels, as well as a tiny bit lighter

Dual internal beadlock. Huge band fits between the tire beads and the two pices of the wheel bolt together to make a street legal beadlock wheel. I've run them at 2psi without problem.

Plus premium wheels typically have less radial and lateral run out than the cheaper Chinese wheels, are closer to neutrally balanced, and have hub bores for their specific vehicle. Unlike the pOS wheels I got that have a 108mm bore and are not really round.

I run the band that comes with the wheel and some Dyna bead balance beads, bolt them together, air them up, mount to the truck, and drive. Done and done.

Currently it's not. Trying to use it to translate what my professor wants on this damn final.. not helping. Came to TW for mental break.. more like mental breaking

I look into it later, now that I blew up Homers thread again.

    (sorry Homer)

Yes. But...a true beadlock clamps either one or both beads between the two pieces of rim. Not Street legal.

So looks like that internal beadlock does not require inflation. Hmmm. I am only familiar with Staun internals.

Rock Monster wheels are in fact street legal and you can cross international borders with them as they are even stamped "DOT legal" which home made wheels won't ever be.
