Looking to eliminate it completely and fabricate a new grill. Likely will use M4 and emboss the TRD in it as well. Also thinking to color match the whole thing except the center and then black out only the center opening almost like an Evo mod.

 

What do you want to make work?

I assume it's the increased clearance bolt on ones we discussed before?

 

Well I've got the prototype.

 

I'd like to do a complete "ground effect" kit, not just the front lip. There's a FB guy with the side skirts and rear diffuser f/s but he's up in Elizabeth NJ. Unfortunately they're black, not silver. I made him an offer & he counter offered but it's still too high for what I'd have to do to it.
Going for real parts, not the cheapo thin eBay pieces.
Figure if I'm going to do it I'm gonna do my best.

Most of them look like garbage & the nice ones are very pricey. Even then you need to get crazy wheels & tires to fit.
I'm not falling down that rabbit hole.

It's been interesting wading through all the BS that's available aftermarket for these little cars... there's a ton of very poorly made thin urathane body parts out there.
I've been fortunate to connect with a few local 86 enthusiasts on FB who've been parting out nice OEM pieces.
I think once I source the last pieces (rear bumper trim) I'll get everything over to the body shop for color match.
Still haven't decided on how I'm going to do the grill but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

 

Maybe later... tires only have 13K on them.
Also: trying to figure out wheel & tire sizes on these things gives me a headache. Way too many choices!

 

Then you rotate them side to side?
Dunno about that on a DD.
