@HomerTaco - I might have asked before (forgive me) but why did you chose the FRS over the BRZ?

 

Just what was available at the time. I needed a DD and this was the right car at the right time at the right price.

I've always liked them (well the BRZ - same thing basically tho). I might trade my '15 WRX in for a daily (looking at Honda Accords - few years old) and then get a BRZ for a weekend/fun car that I would do autocross in.

 

Yeah I looked (online) at a '16 BRZ Limited. It probably won't be until Spring when I decide. I'm still trying to decide on the daily.

 

There's only really two things that I do not like about the car:
1. For me at 6'1" it's a pain to get in & out of the damn thing because it's so low to the ground.
2. Since it is a small car and essentially just a two seater (the back seats are useless) space is at a premium. I can go out with my wife in it or go out with my kids in it. (My 9 year old is the only one to have ridden in the back seat) but I can't go out with everyone in it, we simply do not fit.
If we were all 5'5" or so then MAYBE we'd all make it but MrsTaco is 6'2" and my 12 year old daughter is already 5'7".

The pros outweigh the cons for me though:
1. Gets +33mpg highway
2. Blast to drive.
3. Corners like it's on rails
4. Fits me and my work stuff just fine.
5. Super easy to park in the city due to size.
6. Once I'm in it the seats are very comfy
7. Cost of ownership is equal to that of the tC I had previously.
8. Blast to drive.
9. Incredible selection of aftermarket support for both performance and appearance. (There's over a dozen different manufacturers that make boost for the FA20 platform)
10. Ergonomic interior- whereas the FRS is a bit more spartan than its BRZ counterpart the driver controls are simple and effective.
11. Blast to drive.

 

And let me add to the list: A true blast to drive.

 

You do not fold well...

 

Might have sumthin to do with belt you use to keep yer pants up.

 

I have not driven one but sat in a buddy's (he just recently supercharged his).

I've sat in the BRZ before and it's definitely low. I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'8" - We do not have any kids. So I understand it's a small car and won't be putting anyone in the back. Hell I think I've put a few people in the back of my '15 WRX but not often.

The BRZ (if I get one) will be just a weekend/fun car so I'll have a daily for work/long trips. I'm looking to trade the '15 WRX in on a '15 Accord. Just haven't found the right one yet.

I'll have to test drive both the BRZ and FRS.
