The only thing with the 06 and older Ruckus is that they are really, really slow!
Like 40 mph downhill with a tailwind slow! But if the price is right..... they really do get 100 mpg! And you can always motor swap!

    This is my 09 Ruckus:
GY6 150cc motor swap, lowered, disc brakes and on and on and on!
    67 mph top speed
    60ish mpg

My wife has an 07 Ruckus all stock with 3800 miles on it, does 45 mph flat out and gets an easy 100 mpg!

Yes and unfortunately you don't need a motorcycle license to ride one in the great state of MA (under 50cc) and great Mayor of Boston now allows them to be parked on the sidewalks. I can't find a damn place to park my motorcycle but the sidewalks are littered with these damn over-glorified mopeds

Sorry for the rant... I never had anything against scooters until I moved to Boston.

It was the same way when I lived in Las Vegas. Didn't need a license, a helmet or insurance. Everybody with a DWI/DUI rolled a scooter!

I love those things. They are really cool looking and the aftermarket support for them is insane.
