I added an outlet under the dash and ran the charging up under the door weather stripping. Similar should work for getting it to the vent area.

Not a bad idea. An Add-A-Circuit could power that nicely and be completely reversible. Thanks!

So is anyone using the Perfect Squeeze mount with a Galaxy S8 (Speck Presidio case)? Just wondering if it's compatible before I pull the trigger. @wileydavis?

Love my mount... but recently it started vibrating causing an annoying rattle (with and without phone mounted). I can feel that the "claws" that grip the phone have some extra play, causing the rattle. Anyone else? Got any fix?

I must be one of the few using the UnHoley Mount to the left of the wheel. That seems like the best location for me. Ran USB cable up behind the weatherstripping, and the setup is discreet but very visible from behind the wheel. I’m not using HG’s Perfect Squeeze; mine is a Topeak Mount intended for bikes. Phone is iPhone 6.

The gripper posts screw on and off so perhaps those need to be tightened up? To eliminate the rattle when there's no phone in it just close the slide and tighten it to itself. If it's rattling with a phone in it usually a few extra clicks of the thumbwheel will eliminate that. If not, please contact us as there might be an issue and we will repair or replace free of charge.

Received my UnHoley/Perfect Squeez mounts today. What a great piece of engineering. It is possible to install the vent mount so that the louvers are wide open (at least it is in my 2018). This eliminates any adjustability whatsoever, but I never adjust my vents once they're set.

Installed Hondo’s Vent Unholey mount. Decided to go with Scosche’s XL magnet mount for my iPad and just completed the Mojave Road and it never dropped off once, didn’t even shift. Plus I took the arm off the Hondo mount and used it to clamp onto my center support of my RTT and my son and I watched movies at night in bed with the iPad suspended in the top of the tent above us. The magnet option is great because you can easily take off the iPad and place it again one handed.

Might be my favorite mod to date. I use the left one for my IPhone, right one for Garmin or IPad mini, also you can see the CB mount there for future upgrades. Worth every penny best mount I found by a long shot.

I routed my charging cable the same way you have yours pictured, and I remember seeing those cable routing mounts long time ago. Do you have a link or name of the company that makes them?

Edit: nvm. I found it. Hondo garage makes them.

@wileydavis on here. His shit is TOP NOTCH. Look around his website in general he makes a lot of cool stuff. Not to mention he's one of the two founders of the Go Fast Camper that is SO hot of a topic on here right now.

Damn you! When I searched for that link I just talked myself into ordering Radio knobs and a set of T-nuts.... Stranger I don't know you just cost me money! (Use code "5rolledtacos" to save a few bucks)

Thanks! I ordered them yesterday and managed to also find that discount code! Wish I had that discount code when I ordered my UnHoley perfect squeeze mount and radio knobs last month. Would’ve saved $16!‍♂️

Just wanted to drop a note here about the excellent service I got from Hondo Garage. I ordered a mount for my 2017 Tacoma and due to a machine break down they were unable to get my part before my upcoming trip. Not a problem as she is sending me a blemished mount for free in order to have one here before my trip and will send a new one when they are available.

If you are on the fence about who to order your mount for a bike, boat, vehicle, etc. I would highly recommend Hondo Garage/Perfect Squeeze.

How long was the wait from ordering to receiving, for those of you who ordered? And how long did it took you to get a confirmation shipment info on that order? I am just curious since Hondo Garage did not give a choice on the selection on shipment service. Thanks.
