Couple of shipping logistic questions and suggestions for the GFC guys after seeing their shipping method...

I didn't see it any straps so is the unit is bolted down from the inside so it doesn't shift off the pallet?

Being in an enclosed trailer the pallet can only be loaded in length wise. Can it be carried in and out using standard 48" forks on the forklift? If not people having it shipped to their business/warehouse should see if they have extended forks. I'm thinking it might be too long for the liftgate also.

You really should put "Do not double stack" labels on the unit. Most of these shipping carrier try to maximize space by double stacking so without indication one of them is bound to try. Unless you guys are okay with it but personally I wouldn't be.

I am actually hoping they're loud enough to provide some white noise for areas with other campers. This is one thing I will miss about my solid insulated camper shell - it was noticeably more quiet than a tent.

    ...too much shit to list.
Am I the only one that drinks excessively to the point where I pass out obliterated whilst camping and only wake up in the morning to piss like a race horse? What noise?

    I mean no..

But in i happen to be in an area with other people and they are pissing me off. I find pointing the truck at them and turning on all the spot lights while blasting my 2600w stereo system shuts them up fast.

Certainly not. I've had a few times waking up when I was concerned I may not escape the sleeping bag and then shell/tent prior to pissing myself. But more often I am not hammered enough to sleep through the sounds of my fellow campers. Or they wake me up earlier than I would like and then I can't go back to sleep.

Sure - I could get a white noise generator, but then what would I bitch about?

If I remember correctly some people had significant concerns about my proposal of hauling insulation in a GFC.....:D

It's bolted to the pallet using the same tabs on the frame for mounting to the bed. And yes, short forks can grab it from the end if need be.

I was surprised how small, and annoying the mosquitos in Texas are. Consequently it seems, Texas bats are tiny as well.

There are only a few species of mosquitos that bother humans. Mosquitos of all genetic origins seem to want to feed on Moose though. No wonder a moose can get really grumpy.

Solution to mosquitos and camping - Go camping in the winter. There, my job is done. EDIT: May I add that it usually resolves the 'camping next to others' noise problem as well.
