Working on a build update this afternoon, and updating the folks whose stuff is off to powder. Made a quick video of the prototyping process on the awning mount yesterday evening. Let me know if you guys are into this kind of stuff, and I can make more quick videos like it.

    Looks great closed up too...

    General update:

Manufacturing is moving along really well, and we are consistently pushing through a bunch of units per week with the goal of increasing output in the VERY near future. Now that we have production rolling along with a big group (9) of AWESOME employees, we are able to take a short step back from the manufacturing floor into the design office. This should result in quite a few new accessory offerings in the next few weeks, and we are really stoked to start building out the support network.

Also, the walkaround video is in process, and we should be doing the final shoot tomorrow. We are looking forward to introducing you to the people who make your campers. Much like everything else at go fast, this video is not gonna be half assed, so it takes a little bit of time to make it awesome. Our friend Nathan Norby (who also shoots/edits for Xoverland) is working on it and we are stoked! http://www.nathannorby.com/

I believe the bracket pictured will be CVT/ARB/Frontrunner compatible, need to confirm that. Willing to bet those all come out of the same factory in china, and they are a pretty awesome bang for the buck.

But designing it to fit other awnings is super straightforward once we get dimensions.

If it fits ARB it will also fit TJM. Had both and used the same brackets on both.

Bet you could make a better Alu-Cab Awning, seeing as you’re going to release the tent only version and undercut them, then might as well go on both fronts :). $1500 for shade is way too expensive of real estate.

I know you were planning one for the Alu-cab Shadow. I hate to even ask, but obviously do to the design of the AC awning being 270 degrees and not really requiring supports it’s gonna put massive torque to the brackets, and more importantly the aluminum extrusion if it gets windy before you have a chance to stake it out. Those extrusions are plenty strong enough to take that kind of force? Thanks.

I could wait and buy a GFC awning that was comparable as stated above. I agree $1500 is toooooooo much. Probably partially due to make its way here from Africa or Europe.

Would anyone mind telling me what ARB awning model that is? Looking to get an awning and want to get one that I know for sure works with my GFC

Im fairly certain it’s this one... based on the fact that that’s a Access Cab long bed and the awning looks slightly longer than the bed. This one is ~78” long.

From that screen shot it seems the most likely.

Evan, if youre interested, I may be selling my ARB 2000/2500 (I have to measure it again to make sure the correct length). its the biggest/longest one and I also have the detacheable standing room for it.
