Hell yeah he is, poor guy only got 2 hours of sleep the other night he said, he is sleeping in the back seat of the tundra. He is working his butt off out there, and I am beyond grateful that he is driving out here to hand deliver these campers. Really says a lot about a company when the owner is willing to do something like this for his customers. So stoked to support these guys.

Dude @gmacmt - you got a trailer full of GFCz! Pop one up and catch a few winks instead of suffering in the tundy. I don't think any of us would mind.

Just did another “Show n Tell”. Met yet another TW member from the springs @JoeCOVA
Good times. So many cool people to meet through TW and the GFC communities.
His rig is looking sweet. Made me jelly, might have to go to the stealership to upgrade...

Do you think anyone will still be there around 8:30 tonight? I'd like to check one out in person but the wife doesn't get off until 8...

Hmm...if you don't have an opening rear cab window, how do you wash the GFC front window? I'd like the GFC front window for light and visibility but if I can't wash it, it might not be worth getting. Skinny squeege?

Thanks again for hanging out and showing us your GFC. I’m super jealous that you have one already.

Pictures make it look awesome but nothing beats the real thing. After seeing it and touching it. Probably the most amazing product out there.

The most important part is my wife is completely in love with it!!!! So we are all in.

Looks good. I wish I could have made it. Curious how others plan to setup their rigs and I do like Greenflash.

Hopefully next time I can attend.

@inv3ctiv3 wanted to thank you for your posts on IG showing the different interior setups. My wife was super interested and she’s very very happy with how yours looks.

Anyway, mine should be being finished up, and hopefully coming my way in the next week or two. I wanted to solicit your feedback (or anyone else who may want to chime in) on your awning choices. I belive you’re running the ARB2000 with GFC Brackets. My initial feeling was to go with a bat style awning, but it’s likely MUCH less expensive and lighter to do a awning on the side (I’m thinking with a complete room so my wife can have privacy if she wants) and a shorter one off the back to cover the rear cooking area. Any thoughts? Obviously with the GFC mounts on the side there is a space to clear the struts with the side panel up do you think this would mitigate most rain? I realize you’re in sunny SoCal but I’m in the rainy Northeast.

Also if you were to mount one on the back what size would you use? IE how wide is the extrusion on he back of the GFC? Would you use the GFC mounts again? Or do something different because the struts aren’t an issue?

Thanks in advance for your help, and for all your posts on here and IG, they’ve been a huge help to keep me going while waiting for delivery.

I saw a black GFC on a Quicksand 3rd gen southbound on I5 this morning (Saturday 7/14) near Eugene, OR, while I was heading north. Anybody from this thread? It looked great, my first time seeing one even if it was from the other side of the freeway at 70. And then, to continue the pop-up theme, saw a gold FlipPac on a 1st gen, in Salem a short time later.

Thank you guys for the meet up today in San Diego - this is the second time I've seen a GFC and I was even MORE impressed this time. So glad that I made the choice to get a GFC and can't wait for mine to show up. Thanks to the guys who let us open/close and climb around their trucks (@Evanike) and to Graeme @gmacmt for answering so many questions. If you are thinking about getting one, get a deposit down to get in line, its awesome!

For those of you needing a RTT version, it sounds like that's coming soon.

I think they will be adding some accessories soon. Has anyone removed the GFC and hoisted it to the garage roof somehow?

A 1.25 meter ARB is just shorter than the rear of the camper (I have on in my garage waiting to go on). That being said, mounting it is a big question mark right now. The cross bar for the rear latches and the third brake light really complicate finding a way to mount it. I’m looking at my camper and the awning trying to come up with a good idea but nothing so far. I will post up if I figure it out.
