I’m gonna be pretty aggravated if mine shows up WITHOUT lights since it’s litterally been in every email i sent for the past 5 months. But I’m pretty sure I’m going to be disappointed.....

Glad some more campers are going out. They really are awesome. I have used mine almost every weekend since install.

I don’t know if the official lights are worth it (disclaimer: I haven’t seen them). I want red/white options for bugs. A little battery lantern hangs perfectly in the inside loop for rolling up the screen door and costs very little.

    Edit:
Due to the cieling material, the lantern does a good job lighting the entire sleeping area.

Point taken. I certainly don’t need fancy lights.... I guess hanging a lantern would be more than fine. It’s a pretty tiny area to light up really. I guess I’ll get it an assess my needs. Thank you.

If homemade lights aren’t good enough, you can always order gfc lights later. I originally wanted the gfc lights but they were not available when mine was installed. Now I am unsure if I want the official lights.

Yeah. Light is light really. Not like I’m going to be doing my homework in there lol... a lantern would seem fine really

I understand your concern.. you’ve had an idea in your head and now you’re not sure if you’re getting it the way you want it.

I ordered 2 sets of goal zero light a life mini quad string lanterns. They’re usb powered so I thought I could hang them around the outside of the camper or where ever and plug them into the USB port on the lighting kit.

I can power them off a portable phone charger, so it’s not the end of the world for me if the lighting kit doesn’t happen, but like you, I’m expecting to get it.

Look at Power Practical and their luminoodle. I think it would be a pretty elegant lighting solution for cheap. I have several and love em.

Yeah I had pre-orderd the light set also, but it wasnt ready when i received my gfc, and am still waiting for it. meantime, I have a battery powered fan that has a built in light that I hang from the inside loop of the big door also. works well and as mentioned, the area is so little so you dont need much light.

Will still get the light package when it comes out, because it still looks awesome and love the USB outlets.

I attached two stick on LED push on/off lights under the corners of the permanent panel in the bed, a cheap battery powered strip around the tailgate window and another strip around the edge of the roof panel. Now that there is finally darkness at night again I need to see how it really lights stuff up and if it works like I planned.

I forgot about the usb outlets. That might matter to some people. I have outlets in the truck bed, it would be nice to have them up top too.

Instead of wiring USB outlets up top, why not use these USB lights that have built in rechargeable batteries?

I didn't get to use mine anywhere near enough this summer. I'm about to leave home for two months and when I get back it will be well below 0°F and that's just not fun for camping and the GFC will be in hibernation for six months. Hopefully next summer will bring time for a quick trip up to Tuktoyaktuk and the Arctic Ocean.
