I could not be happier with the awning. As I mentioned a lot of pages back i was dead set on a Alu-Cab Shadow, but the add on room the ARB has is freaking amazing. I’m 100% happy I got it. No regrets at all.

I didn’t really take many pictures from the inside honestly. Besides a cool RAM mount to hold my 5lb propane bottle, and a clamp to hold the hose all my gear is in the Decked drawer system.

I’m super happy with the setup. Only thing I need to finish dialing is a Chuck (kitchen box). Once that’s done I’m gtg. The GFC and space inside is really awesome. It’s a fantastic system. If you’re on the fence I couldn’t more highly recommend it.

Does that give you an idea of how damp? Think Pacific Northwest, but instead of moisture off the Pacific all ours comes off the Great Lakes.

I don't know, my $40 Coleman stove cooks food and boils water fine and it's been doing it for years. I don't see how another $2-300 could be that much better.

Some one else responded but if you only took the awning itself off that’d be 12 bolts. Leave the brackets on... to take the brackets off another 12. I would leave it on... at least April through November. It’s very slim and un-obtrusive.

Best I can do for interior pics. Just a couple sleeping bags tossed up top.

Oh it should be noted getting in and out with your significant other sleeping isn’t a big deal at all. A few too many Mich Ultras made sure I could test that out... system works very well.

My truck lives outside. Those washers are shot from the high-altitude Colorado sun baking them, not me cranking on them.

I’ll take a picture when i get home if I can and post it up. Seems to work really well. I put well over a hundred and fifty miles on dirt on my truck on dirt the last few days and everything stayed solid.

I got a 9 ft hose and cooked on both sides of the truck pending the situation and it worked really well. I mounted a 1” RAM ball via a RAM “motorcycle” mount to one of the frame threaded spots. Used a 1.5” quick claw to hold the hose.... pics to follow.

To be fair, I also live in California, although northern Cali, and mine are also shot. They're more of a rubber textured washer, though, so not sure if they've been changed in later models or not. I plan to replace with nylon washers. And I don't crank mine down at all.

We'll be switching to a metal-backed neoprene washer when they arrive this week. Once we make the switch, we'll send replacements to anyone who requests them.

I'll have to add that to the striker plate and bolt upgrade request.

Oh wow, okay. I was hoping I could jump in line by picking up in person, but it sounds like that's not a thing. I guess I had better place my order! BTW, pay attention to road closures in the national parks. At some point they stop plowing the roads through Yellowstone except for the northern route, although the park is still open to foot traffic.

Yes the line is large... and gets larger almost everyday. If you’re serious about buying one I’d get it on order sooner than later. You will 100% not be disappointed.

Ok I just looked back into my Amazon order history. It’s actially a Quickfist ratchet strap I have holding my propane bottle. I used a drill bit to open up the holes a little bit and used a couple T-nuts from Hondo Garage in the track on my truck to mount it. Works awesome honestly. No complaints at all and I think it was 20 bucks. The RAM mount I used the 9mm 1” ball mount for motorcycles with a regular RAM arm to a quickclamp to hold the hose all coiled up. Also i figured that quick clamp could serve double duty as it’s a 1.5” so it can grab the interior roll cage of the GFC if I ever wanted to use it that way for my phone or tablet mount back in the bed of the truck.

I use the same quickfist ratchet setup for my 5lb propane tank.
