Will there be a full fairing on the roof rack since it's attached directly to the cab. And will it be available for crew cab Chevys etc.

Fairing will be an option for the roof racks. We plan to eventually support most vehicles for the roof racks. Someone else had asked about the height of the rack, for the cab-mounted racks, they will be lower than the top of the GFC camper. But we are going toe experiment with a back fairing on the rack to deflect wind over the top of the camper. So for the racks a front fairing will definitely be an option and if it works well, then so would a back fairing.

Not ready to show anything yet. But it will be a mix of extrusion, sheet metal, and machined billet parts. Also in development is a combined solar panel roof rack section that will allow you to run a solar panel and still mount things above it if you need to. I'm pretty excited about that since I like solar panels to stay on the roof but still need to carry surfboards on top.

Now I like the way you are thinking! Always keep room for surfboards! I think in May 2019 you'll have to come on down to Santa Cruz for the camper delivery/install and we can catch some surf!

Does anyone have a picture of the pigtail for the 3rd brake light? I'm looking to tap into the electrical tow circuit with one of these: https://www.curtmfg.com/part/55384

There isn't one. It's just a positive and a negative open wire.

Should be able to tie those into a 4 pin connector to work with that harness. Be pretty clean. That's what I was thinking of doing as well.

There’s not a third wire for brake light vs. on?

Was hoping for a 4pin male haha. Oh well nothing some crimps and shrink wrap can’t solve.

I get that. Normally the light stays on when lights are on. Then when you brake it lights up brighter. The ones I saw on Amazon that look like it have 3 wires. Either way not really an issue, just curious so I can order the right stuff.

That makes sense. I don’t think I actually ever paid attention to it being a running light or not. I just assumed it was ha. Thanks for the clarification.

@wileydavis watch this video (it’s less than 1 Min) and tell me do you “think” this concept could work on the GFC????? Now, could you just take this concept and make one for the GFC? Seriously?? It seems perfect for a GFC, since it’s a place to store MaxTrax and it’s a table, and it folds down out of the way to allow access through the side panels? I know you’ve got a lot on your plate but this seems to me like it could be a winner in concept. Anyone else have any thoughts???

I want to see someone bolt some maxtrax to the side doors of the gfc. I don’t want to be the first one to attempt it.

Not gonna be me, I’m tempted to stick them on the extrusion but they’ll be so damn high.... that video I linked (at least in my mind) is a perfect solution. Mounts under the canopy and gives you a much needed table. Seems ideal to me I really hope to see one at Expo and see if I can make it work
