1/4 plywood will slide into the extrusion for walls.

Awesome. Thanks. What about drawer slides? Bolt them to an L bracket or a piece of flat stock and bolt that to the extrusion?

Yeah, you can bolt it directly to extrusion but L brackets work better.

So do u build the drawers themselves out of 80/20 and composite as well?

Is the composite sheeting string enough to stand on - say a 24” width.? I would guess not.

The drawers I built the exterior out of 8/20 and the drawer themselves out of wood.

I used 1/4 inch HDPE seaboard as a lid and it’s strong enough to stand on.

    Two Questions:
    1. Is the rear window made out of tempered glass or laminated glass?

    2. Can you get the rear window in the smaller triangular shape like the front window?0B4B2C3F-CD7D-48C3-B921-56CD5BDC5F74.jpg

    1. The windows are tempered glass.

    2. Nope, the shapes of the windows can't be changed. But you can order it without a front or rear window.

I’m a fan of getting the windows. Not everyone is. I tinted mine for thermal concerns and privacy. I also created a reflectix shade for the rear window.

Edit for clarification: I only tinted the rear hatch gfc window.

I don’t but when installing my GFC we discovered that my tailgate ran a little low and Ross addresses it by swapping out the gasket material for the same thing slightly wider. That approach seems like it could scale to a somewhat larger gap.

Graeme used a wider rubber flapper thing on mine too, lol, I’d imagine there’s a bit of variations especially if you use something like KB Voodoo bed caps. The GFC guys seem to have that figured out mine seals up quite well.

Haven’t been camping in a couple weeks but used my truck/ GFC for a bench rest for a quick sight in session. Seems to work ok.

(Kinda thought this thread needs more cool GFC pictures....)

October 22 has come and gone so the aluminum extrusions should have arrived at GFC. Now that they have the foam and the extrusions the production rate should start to increase.:bananadance:
