It’s almost -40, I’ve spent my day shit talking on the internet and buying parts for my motorcycle I can’t ride for another four or five months.

Also I’m not trying to sound defensive of the GFC, though I guess I am because it was my decision as well. I made my choice based on the same thing mentioned above. GFC was the lightest and lowest profile alternative to a RTT there was (also much lower cost).

I like the Summit, and Drifter but as mentioned if I wanted more of a Camper I would have done a 4wh camper and or a larger platform. If you’re building a Taco to live in Full time, perhaps another vehicle would be a better choice.

In truth after having mine for 4 months, spending about 20 or so days in it the one and only thing I don’t like is I can’t get in and out of the drivers position into the camper without going outside (true of any Wedge or tent. It’s the only thing that makes me still want a Van, or GXV.

Same here, we not -40 but in the teens mine is tucked away until early Spring when I’ll be parked right on the beach in the FL Keys for two weeks.

Speaking of the Keys anyone have any experience with the GFC camper and No-See-Ums????????? The screen size makes me a little nervous???????

I plan on bringing a thermocell and wearing repellent when I sleep but the bugs down there can make you suicidal...

Not sure I was the one accused of Fake news.

    14 in NorCal

Ok awesome. So there’s 21 Drifters and 123-ish GFC’s. I know you’re a mod, didn’t know you were the Drifter Police.

When there are 100 more Drifters let see if anyone find a few drops of Water in one.

Why are you commenting on the GFC than, do you have one?

The point he’s getting at is to not make inaccurate claims. Stick to what you know or say you don’t know it. There’s no reason we can’t all get along and acknowledge the differences, benefits and detractions from each of our choices in wedgefalia campers.

No. That was just the ones off the top of my head. I can do the math for the rest that are out in the wild if you like.

It was the point about the “fake news” as you put it and misinformation about the drifter. By all means, be a fanboy. I encourage it. We all love and justify the stuff we spend money on. But if you are gonna make up your own stats and belittle the competition of your fake news, don’t be surprised if you get checked.

You calling people out like this in the other camper threads where people are making it sound like half the GFCs leak and won’t close?

People might be getting a little bit defensive but no one is saying anything negative about any other campers in here.

Ok show me where I said the Drifter had issues? I said it didn’t but most were in sunny places. This is a GFC thread.

Ok you’re right. All GFCs seem more prone to moisture and Drifters seem to not (although I’m lying. I know no one with a Drifter and don’t follow that thread often)

I work shift work so I’m good to argue about this for the next 14 hours while getting paid.

Or we can let the thread move on.

I’ve always been a beer if there’s space or whiskey kind of camping guy. Nice thing about truck camping is that there’s always space for both.

I'm always game for a good campfire debate. So long as there's beer involved.

-25 here last week. No camping for me either.

How dense are you? Where did I say that you said drifters have issues? Where did I say every GFC has water issues? I said stick to what you know. Don’t spit made up stats. Read your own damn verbiage above.

Guess what, Icon fanboys talk in King threads and vice-versa. It’s not a challenging concept to understand. Again, be a fanboy. I know I am. But I’m not going around saying 90% of all the GFCs in the wild are in Canada.
