I'm not sure that a ski box would be able to latch onto that...

No you'll need to to take care of that yourself. There is a double bulb seal that runs along the back rail and over the top rails. As a 3rd gen I don't think you have as much to worry about as the second gen. The bed rail design for y'all is way better.

    Got it.

I am trying to figure out if I am going to want to get rid of my decked system once I Get the GFC. The idea would be to save weight.

Anyone currently running a decked and GFC: Any thoughts on space? Are you happy with it? Do you feel like you miss the height you would have with another storage solution that doesn't consume the entire footprint of the bed?

You could upgrade directly to the 27F model, standard for tow package.

27F is same height, width, but about 1.5" longer. (should fit in same tray space, same hold down will work.) Amp hrs jumps from 76 to 92, and a 10lb gain in weight. Price increase of about 12%.

better warranty on the X2 - 5 years versus 4 years on NorthStar. Great find!

I have the Northstar version - love this battery. The stock battery leaked bad from off-roading.

Playing support again. . . :mudding:

The GFC on an Accord would get you social cred!

A bit of lift will get you through! This is the time when a spacer lift is the only reasonable choice! :D

I'm running one of their 31M heavyweights with an Adventurewired.com hold down. I'm running a Dometic and an Extremeaire Magnum compressor plus my own personal turbocharger all night. (I'm a ROF and most people call it a CPAP). Miscellaneous lights and USB charge ports. So far, so good but I do have a jump-pack.

I hope it's more like a supercharger and you're not running it off your personal exhaust gasses.

Spotted a grey gfc in San Luis Obispo on a white second gen (I think). If available and local I would love to check it out!

I put it in late October so it really hasn't been put to the test. The OE battery really didn't like running the compressor to air up so I went with the 31 instead of messing with a dual battery set-up. I rarely stay at a campsite more than one night so I'm hopeful it will do the job.

Most everyone who knows me very well would say that's questionable.

Slowly getting some supplies together to build out some 80/20 storage.

Are you planning on doing a "baseplate" for your truck? If so, have you put any thought into bed liner or a sealant for the plywood?
