This is probably a newb question, so sorry in advance, but looking on the leaderboard it doesn't appear that anything has changed in the last week and a half or so. I know Wiley is seemingly OOO, so maybe it is just not updating the board, but figured I would check to see if anyone else noticed or has any insight.

Thanks! And good question. I noticed the broken reference as well, so I have been tracking the last Completed/Shipped (#147) and Components Produced (#176) to check progress. Got excited with the big bump in production numbers a couple weeks ago, but it has stayed constant since. Figured I might just be out of the loop.

Just a comment on the subject of plywood and bedliner. I'm re-doing my storage and decided to use 1/2" MDO plywood. It is stronger and lighter than any other type of plywood AFAIK. A 4 x 8 sheet weighs 37 pounds and has paint ready surfaces on both sides. I've decided not to paint mine as the surface passed the wife test. Its also known as sign board since its commonly used to make outdoor signage. All glue used in its construction is waterproof.

GFC Production Graph update for January, 2019.

Weekly production (8 wk avg) increased from 4.4 to 5.1. Sales orders (8 wk avg) decreased from 11.5 to 9.3.

BTW, you can get a rough estimate of the completion of a particular order by finding the order date on the orange lines (orders) on the weekly graph and drawing a line over to the gray line (estimated production) to see when it will be completed given current prior 8 week production rates. Obviously, if production increases in the future, the delivery time will be reduced.

    ======================================================================================
NOTES: The more recent data comes from the GFC leaderboard that I snapshot every Friday weekly. The early data is estimated from posts made on TW forums regarding lead times and order numbers (Yes, I reread all 7826+ messages on the thread). Obviously, the early data is not as accurate as the more recent data, but it may provide a visual insight into the production at the factory.

The weekly graph shows the estimated total orders (shifted by lead time) and the number of total units produced. The gray line is the estimated production using the average prior 8 weeks of production. Obviously this could change, if the number of units produced is increased.

The monthly graph shows the average (over the prior 8 wks) production and orders. I know this is a bit geeky, but I hope this way of visualizing the data may be useful to someone. I plan to post an update every couple months.

They have a call back option. I found it works way better. Actually got a call from them within a day or two. Beats email chain after email chain. Imo that's the best step they've done to address their communication issues since they started a year ago.

Would someone with a GFC camper please measure from the very top of their camper to the point where it meets with the bed or bed-caps for me please?

For those wondering how long each step of the production process takes, my camper went “In Production” on 1/14 and now “Components Produced” on 2/1.

I’ll update as it continues so everyone can get an idea of how long these things are taking.

Anyone using the factory bed divider that goes in the rails with their GFC?
A local guy is selling one super cheap and I thought it might be nice to throw things towards the front of the cab like lawn chairs and bedding. I know it won’t be able to move a lot in the tracks but was just wondering if it caused more issues.

What are people’s thoughts on the Voodoo bed rail caps? I have a 2nd gen that I will be putting my GFC on. Should I just put it on the stock bed rails?

Does anybody have experience with GFC and the Voodoo caps?

I'm planning on just using the stock bed rail caps. From what I've read the vodoo caps are lower and I want to try to stuff my trials bike in the back. I think if I compress the forks a couple inches I might just have enough room with the stock caps.

Anyone with front and back windows on their GFC have a creative solution for curtains or blinds? I am going to need some privacy because of all the young coeds that will flock to my truck after the GFC is installed.

I do t have my gfc yet, but I’m using the kB voodoo rails and sealed underneath them with silicone. The 2nd gen bed rail caps are pretty shitty.

The privacy issue? Yes. The coeds? Potentially. What if there isn't enough of me to go around? A situation like that could cause a riot or something. Unless there is another GFC owner around to draw them away, but what are the chances of that with less than 200 of us in the wild?

@ace7196 I like your velcro idea. Simple and effective. I was envisioning some sort of retractable blind setup from an RV but not sure if something like that would be too heavy or impractical.
