I almost always close with all cushions and panels in.

It really helps to have the side windows open so air as a place to escape when closing. Close quickly 95% of the way, push fabric in away from edges, close slowly the last 5% so it doesn’t puff out at the last second. Easily takes < 1 minute.

I definitely don't mind it taking an extra minute if that's all it is and I'm just misunderstanding. What would be disappointing is if the square cushions have to be left out to ensure there is no water intrusion.

I've had zero issue closing mine with all the panels in since day one. :notsure:

    Exactly.

The only problem I’ve had is if there is fabric getting pinched or bunched around the edges. Push it away from the edge and it closes easily.

This is sounding a lot like a mixture of misunderstanding, reading into things & user error.

To clarify I don’t think they meant leaving the middle panels out are required. It was a recommendation. What was required is, if you leave a panel out, to have panels to the rear to prevent movement of the top portion independent of the bottom portion of the camper.

I’m number 184 and have only received two emails from GFC (invoice and camper specs) since I purchased it in July. Not sure why some people get contacted and others don’t but it’s a little worrisome

Its not ideal but I wouldn't be too worried about it. They are crazy busy. I maybe got 1 or 2 emails until my camper finally went into production. #144 is finally ready to ship!

Yeah I’m not worried, I should be next in line to go “in production notified” stage. Hopefully I will get an email then!

I have a vague memory of an option to subscribe to their newsletter while ordering.

I subscribed and never received anything after, I have checked my spam folder and everything. I also never received any of the color samples like some other people as well. None of this is even a big issue though I knew what color and options I wanted prior to. I just don’t understand why some people get information and others don’t.

Same here, I've never received newsletter updates either. I did email a while back about the color samples and they said they started sending them out around camper #200 or so.

I don't think anyone has reported having to do a combo of both yet but multiple people have said that per Greame, it is recommended to remove some cushions and store them elsewhere to assist in closing. Maybe it's like the weird tolerance differences with the front hinges, different situations for different build numbers.

My bad then didn’t see that article.

Besides no logo on the tent section, small change to the paint on the panel were the logo is and more rivets on the side I can’t tell a difference between the two.

I have opened and closed mine less than 1/2 dozen times. Do don't call me an expert It took me less than 1 minute to close each time. I had the small cushions out a couple times. But, with them in it made no difference. Yes I need to sit on the corner to make the pins slide in. But, that's all it takes. Seriously, it's been opened like 3 times.
