What lift do you have? Any bumpers, sliders or skid plates? How about wheels and tires?

My truck and gfc with almost nothing extra in it weights 6100lbs.

How much do you have hanging off the truck? That’s a lot of weight over the GVWR for not carrying anything extra.

Yes, exactly my thoughts also... Here’s what I can think of:

    -C4 sliders with top plates
    -TRD skid plate
-SOS aluminum bumper with an x2o 10k winch
    -scs wheels and 285/70/17 e rated ko2
-Icon stage 6 lift with Icon rear leaf pack running all of the optional leafs
    -gfc

    I think that’s it...

I’d say try a different scale if you’ve only weighed the truck once, that weight seems way off for what’s on the truck. What you posted, even with the GFC, doesn’t add up to 1600lbs over the published curb weight of the truck.

Correct that GFC is not the same comparison class as a Flippac.

Agreed. There's a reason I sold my Flippac (2015 model - one of the last made and in BRAND NEW condition) and don't even have a camper right now. I didn't want a boat mounted on my off-road truck that had many design flaws.
Also, some of the places I would have wanted to camp this winter would have collapsed the Flippac tent since it is not designed to shed snow. Wedge style is where I'm putting my money once it happens.

Mid travel and 37's for now. +2 is the plan down the road though.

Yes, I did! I'm also running some of the test extruded aluminum cross bars which should be available in June!

Curious as to why you didn't buy a four wheel camper?

Well i looked pretty hard at them. In truth I LOVE the wedge top design and it’s very simple and durable. The 4WH
Camper, while nice, didn’t seem as durable as the Khaya and price wise they’re identical. Plus honestly the 4WH looks the same as it did 30 years ago the design just seems very dated.

Been seeing a few GFC for sale but its all about timing on here, and I can't be watching this 24/7. If anyone is thinking about selling theirs, please let me know. I am interested.
