My install date is 6/10 at 3pm if you end up out there around then.

Yea expo west kinda screwed up a bunch of my orders. I unknowingly placed some orders right before the event and Baja designs, front runner, gfc, and blue ridge overland gear, all seemed to take longer than they should’ve. And 2 of those orders wound up being the wrong items.

Hello all - this is my first post on TW but I've been watching this thread for months while I, like so many folks here, eagerly await the production of my GFC (#297). This thread has at least made the wait tolerable. I really appreciate all the great information and build-outs folks have shared (thanks @ace7196 in particular, I love the work you've done).

My wife and I have been planning a road trip to include the pick-up of our GFC and heading out to the PNW to see friends and family. We kept the scheduling loose at first - knowing that the completion of the GFC would be a moving target - but as one might expect some aspects of our trip have started to firm up (e.g. time off work). Increasingly, it looks like our trip will happen but that our GFC may not be ready in time for it.

I'm going to go out on a limb here in the hopes of finding a win-win with another member waiting for their GFC...if anyone else has:
    • a GFC that is done in Belgrade and awaiting pickup or is say less than #270 in the queue,
    • is roughly the same configuration (DCLB, black panels, grey tube, windows front and back, side door),
    • and would be willing to wait a bit longer...
I'd be up to discuss trading spots and offering $500 for your troubles. I know it is a long shot...but shoot me a note if you are interested and might fit these criteria.

And if that doesn't work...I'll enjoy car camping out of a tent for one more trip and continue dreaming of that comfy GFC for later in the summer.

When were you planning to go out? I'm 300 and was planning on making the long drive out from NY mid July but I'm thinking about pushing my vacation out to august. The lack of uncertainty sketches me out a bit

I was planning on being in the Bozeman area around 7/4-7/7 and trying to do the install at the end of that week. I've been tracking the Leaderboard carefully - I'm an engineer, so think spreadsheets and regression analysis, I can't help myself - and I always knew this would be right on the edge of possible. But I was hopeful with progress they were making in April and May that it might work. But with the apparent slow down during Overland Expo the last couple of weeks, that's the source of my doubt. I know the GFC folks are working hard and I understand completely how this goes...

That would be sick. Hopefully I can get one around that time.
Did you plan the 3pm time or is that what they give you?
Any idea how long installs are booked out? How long did it take to set your date/time? Haha, lot of questions there.

More like “the bosses are on vacation and they have to inspect all campers before they leave and people keep asking why campers are sitting in sealant curing for weeks”.
Hurry, quick let’s show progress, Hahaha.

Simultaneously the most and the least action the leader board has ever seen.

Hahaha. Probably doesn’t help that my girlfriend and I (mostly her) are checking it every five minutes.
We’re more than ready for a road trip and to camp. Cabin fever is getting to us.

Stephan emailed me and asked what my plan was and I told him I’d pick it up on the 10th if that was ok, and he said 3:00 works. That’s all I know about their scheduling lol.

Soft goods is all the foam and fabric related parts. We add those in last now which has caused some campers to appear to be stalled at the sealant curing stage when in reality they’re waiting on a tent or mattress. So we added a new notification stage to more accurately reflect what’s going on.

Glad I found your post. Wanted to order the Prinsu Habitat and mount it before I went up to Bozeman to get my GFC in June or July. Did not know how the two would fit on my 2018 Tacoma. Now I know and can go ahead an order the rack. Thanks.
