Thanks for catching that, changing it to configuration now. That drop down was formerly the vehicle selector, and I failed to update it when switching to window config. New website in the works. Setting up the photo/video trip for that this week. Really stoked.

Looking at July. Feel free to give me a call if you want to talk about ordering/build questions or whatnot. 406-581-7463

Just because i'm weird and catch this stuff, found a grammar error on your purchase page:

**If you have an 2009- Present F-150 or 2007-Present Tundra, we are going to support those vehicles with our XL system, which is slightly has a wider sleeping area than our current offering, and will be released soon. For inquiries on those vehicles, please email graeme@gfcengineering.com.**

Awkward phrasing there like it's missing a word, or has some extra ones. Just FYI @gmacmt

Graeme, great write up in Outside. Congrats! One question. Can you explain a little more what this means: "MacPherson says they’re exploring a solution that mounts the top of the closed tent flush with the truck’s roof for improved fuel efficiency." Thanks!

Depends on your usage. IKamper is cool for camping and has more space for a family. This unit is designed for a very different purpose serious off pavement use and really set up for two. Although you can sleep two kids below in the “lower bunk” in the bed. But really. If you have a family and just want to camp get the iKamper, if you wanna drive off-road and have two or less get this. No contest.

Just talked to the man himself. #13 on the list, estimated pickup 3rd week of April. White sides, orange tubes, interior lights and roof rack rails. Stoked!

If i read that right that’s for full size trucks. So a 6.5’ bed might kinda work, or i guess it could over hang over the rear bumper a little for more space.

I agree, they seem like they serve different purposes. The iKamper seems like a really nice RTT. The GFC, at least in my view, provides everyday function as well as being a rugged camper. I haven't ordered the GFC yet, but I'm seriously considering it for its versatility. Bed rack, topper and camper, and made to last in 'Murica. A nice topper and a non-Chinese RTT are going to run close to 5k new, which is why the GFC just makes sense to me. And I can leave the GFC on my truck. It screams practicality to me. Adventure too, but I doubt mine would see any super long backcountry trips.

Thanks! 8' beds only for that design, thinking about a solution flush with the cab. Taco beds, and even 6.5' full size beds are just too short to go that route unless you're like 5'1.

I can see this working as an option on a full size long bed. But for me with a drawer system and a fridge/ slide combo in the back it just makes space way too tight. But again awesome to see options and more outside the box thinking. Thank you GFC

Has there been discussion on how easy or difficult it is to clean the back windows of the cab? It looks like the Zeus fasteners are outside the fixed panel which would require the camper to be moved backwards in order to remove the panel then clean the back window. Can someone confirm?

Pulling the whole camper back would work. There’s also products designed for the purpose, basically thin sponges on a plastic pole that can fit between the truck and topper.

Damn you damn you damn you. I knew you were going to have a bunch of options that I wouldn't be able to pass up. Without even spending a moment on google I can tell you it would be tough for me to justify DIY for 300 bucks. I already have a couple of dome lights, etc, but I'm already justifying buying your system... Again, damn you.

PS: I'm so happy I already paid for one of these! Can't wait to replace my canopy.
