    back to bone stock.
i test drove three trucks on the dealership lot, and all three did that stutter. it is barely noticeable. my wife thinks i am losing my mind. she never notices.

to be clear..i had to dig deep to find some CONS. deep. it is a very very good rig for my needs.

Con: lack of power, or low end torque, regardless of tune.

I could list quite a few cons (none of them major, but annoyances nonetheless) but that one is the biggest for me. It was difficult to get used to after coming from a 4.0L manual Frontier that just had gobs of grunt comparatively, and better gear ratios in the trans.

Pro: Longbed. Looks more like a truck than the short bed and sleeps 2 people easily.
Con: Drives like shit. I don’t need a ton of power but the gear hunting is awkward and annoying.

Pro - Daily drivability (composed of simple operation/layout and handling in parking lots) while keeping decent capability/utility (composed of naturally aspirated engine, good ground clearance, and decent tow/payload for a midsize) of my '23 TRD Pro is the biggest plus.

Con - I know you asked for one, but I have three! Lack of factory trailer brake controller is disappointing, no cooled seats in the Pro is hard to take for the price, and finally not giving the double cabs a full roll down window like the Tundra Crewmax has is a big miss.

Pro: TRD Pro suspension is perfect for my needs and is great for a Daily Driver. Looks good. NA V6. Capable and easily get me to my favorite hunting and fishing spots.

Cons: 4x4 knob rather than lever like my 4Runner, Soft Paint, Cab mounts noises, gear hunting. Forced to buy the Predator Steps. Lack of access cab on TRD Pro trim.

I’m hoping not to offend anyone but my honest opinion is that Toronto and Vancouver (I lived there) are overpriced and overcrowded shitholes.

557.900$ is still affordable and I see the value at that price.

PG is a nice medium size town that’s got everything but IKEA. It’s actually a quite nice place to live. Fishing paradise up here.

edit: wait, how did you know how much I paid for my house??:)

Lots of us manual owners in here with that pro. Haha

Pros (Outside of my stick) - Love that the DNA of the truck feels older. It’s good on the dirt I put it in, too.

Cons - My BMW has a 12.5:1 steering ratio, the Tacoma is a lot lazier than that. Haha. The 4wd drive I keep accidentally grabbing to adjust the cabin temp. And the seats could be better, does anyone know of a swap that keeps the airbag functionality?

(TRD) PRO: Very capably (Impressed by the OEM Fox bits) and reliably does what I need it to do easily & un-dramatically while providing simplicity using 3 pedals.
    (Edit: And Lunar Rock!)

CON: It is not driven by Electric motors.

I salivate thinking of the added capability of electric motors going off road. AND all the extra space that would be available in the cab and elsewhere in an e-Taco - designed as such and keeping it the same size as the 3rd gen.

Engine compartment would house the 2 front motors AND leave plenty of room for a Frunk. (4 motors would be ideal to better apply power to wheels with traction.)

A Flat battery underneath would be armoured - smooth all the way aft. It would take less room than the drivetrain / transmission / and other bits underneath. Expand for under foot / under seat / under bed storage?

I would happily (but only then!) surrender my third pedal for that...
