Bed rug installed. I love these things. I use to laugh at them...until I bought one. They can get dirty, sandy, mulchie and muddy and ya just spray them out. On a side note they are awesome on your knees too.

Up next, P3 brake controller mounted in the cubby. This moved over from my tundra and it also used the new tundra brake harness. Part # xxx.

Next I removed the vinyl from the door pillars.

Had to save for this bad boy, here's the Leer topper with windoors, led strip lights , carpeted, sliding removable rear window, roof rails and electric lock. The carpet matches the bed rug perfectly and this things utility is awesome, I throw anything and everything back there.

I moved the gas cap tether one hole over so the cap would easily fit in the clip. It a small thing but it's satisfying to fix a peeve.

    image.jpg

Next I installed some extra USB and 12v outlet for my back passengers (5yr old girl).

    image.jpg
    image.jpg

For the front I took out the AUX plug and replaced it with a dual USB. I also re arranged the buttons to make the most used one closer to me and the USB closer to the copilot. Hind sight I should have mounted the factory USB / aux under the other switches facing down where the Qi charger is because the factory USB is used to upload stuff to the stereo. Look at all this stuff I had to take out just to add the USB to the dash.

Ditched the shark running boards for some CBI sliders with kickouts, fill plates, zero up angle so they stick straight out and can be used as steps for my parents and mostly my kiddo.

    image.jpg

I also added the Switch-Pro. This thing was a breeze to install after I contemplated for weeks where to put it. The install was easy as heck and it turned wiring nightmares into a simple task. I hope others use this location because well.... It's just awesome.
    image.jpg

This is where I hooked up the blue Switch Pro wire with an Lo-pro add a fuse .
    image.jpg

This is where I hooked up the yellow Switch Pro wire with an Lo-pro add a fuse.
    image.jpg

This is where i ran the controls wires for the Switch-pro into the cab, there was a rubber plug which i removed and it shot it right into the cab, where i slit the carpet and pulled it through.
    image.jpg

I mounted the distrubition block to the large fuse/relay lid under the hood, i left plenty of slack in the wires so it would be easy to remove and set the lid to the side. I will also mount my Ground distrubition block here too.
    image.jpg

I hooked up some ditch lights so i could see....in the ditches, along with trails drop-ins and obstacles. I went with CBI hood mounted ditch brackets, along with Cali Raised extenders so I could fit two defused Dualies on each side. This setup is solid, and works really well. I have the lights mounted 90* to each other and that did the trick of lighten up everything my fog lights missed and all along the sides of the truck.

    image.jpg

Up next is a partial project of installing my CB. I got it installed under the center console and the controller/mic is mounted in the actual console. I'm waiting to figure out what I want to do about an antenna out the back.

New shoes please! I know, the other ones were brand new, but I really like Cooper AT3s. 265/75/16 They are one inch taller that the factory tires and I haven't felt or heard a difference in acceleration between the two. They handle in the mud pretty good (not a mud tire) and they do awesome everywhere else, soft beach sand, hill country, rocks, gravel roads and in the rain.. I also got the matching spare tire and rim.http://expeditionportal.com/where-the-rubber-meets-the-road/

    image.jpg

I put a admin pouch made by Maxpedition in the lid of the console. I got the idea from another member who used a different pouch and used some sort of bracket he moved over from his FJ. I just took off the lid , drilled some holes, added some zip ties and BAM! It's awesome.

And magically some Stage 79 icons appeared on my truck, after I yelled some magic cursewords. The grinding of the rear progressive leaf pack keepers is what brought on the cursing. I left the fronts adjusted the way they were and it gave me about exactly what I wanted. 1-1/2 in the front and 2 in the back with the sliders and Leer topper.

Off to a good start I would say. That is my favorite color on the new trucks.

Just search "admin pouch" on Amazon and you'll see a million of them including the Maxpedition one.
