go there and buy the kit. i put in in my pickup in ten minutes and that included finding tools and drinking a beer.

 

Just saying, the '09's I'm checking out...and going to buy...all beepwhen unlocked or locked.

hmmm...so that's what that "STAR" sticker in the window means huh?

 

my 09 does not have an alarm but it does chirp once when locked and twice when unlocked. factory remote.

that's what I'm talking about. Is that the STAR system or just how it rocks?

 

+1 on my 2009 , but my 05 does not. In the morning I am gonna hook up a jumper wire from the lights to the horns.

 

if by star you mean the toyota star safey system, then no.

the chirp (not horn) is just how the factory remote is programmed for lock/unlock and progressive unlock.

it sounds about the same as a remote chirp with a viper or other dei based alarm system, even though there is no alarm.

 

Gotcha. Yea that's what I was referring to.

 

my 09 does the chirp and a honk when i unlock and lock, going to the dealer to have the salesman that programmed the remote to turn the honk off, neighbors are not happy with me when they hear the horn at 4:00 am when i go to work.
