I also have a Weathertech - easy install with the existing holes in the hood. I didn't want one that I had to use adhesive on to stick it to the hood.

I have the Toyota one. Seems to work well. I also like the look of it and I think it looks great with on an MGM with scoop.

I had the windshield replaced twice in 3 years on my 2014 Tacoma. Interstates and logging trucks bringing mud and gravel onto the road don't mix well

Had a bug deflector on for 10 years. Anybody saying they protect your hood and windshield is not accurate. Replaced the windshield at least 4 times (which BTW is covered by insurance by law in my state with no deductible).

I have an AVS because the roads around here are crap. It won't stop everything but it has deflected a few smaller stones that would have cracked my windshield. They were big enough for me to see and leave a mark on the deflector. That being said someone popped up a rather large rock once and I saw it coming because I was moving slowly in traffic and it smacked my door pillar. That would have probably cracked my windshield had it been a foot towards the center of my truck. I like the AVS model because it bolts right on so its easy to install and remove. My wife's Subaru Forester deflector was a pain in the ass to install but it has helped and cheaper than windshield replacement.

You have proof? Tests? I speak from two points:
    1. I have used them in the past so, personal experience and
    2. I know a bit about fluid mechanics (air is a fluid in this case) and there is no deflector currently made that will effectively alter the trajectory of a pebble heading towards your windshield at 70 mph by changing the path of air flow.
What the WILL do is keep the rock from hitting the leading edge of the hood and if it deflects it somewhere else, so be it. Your hood would deflect it if you didn't have protection.

I'm anxious to see your proof.

I have an IQ of 206 and work in an air tunnel. They work.

I'm anxious to see your proof they don't.
