Bought a truck cover for mine, California car covers I think, in a parking garage at work but no garage and tons of birds at home, I've gotten so it takes less than a minute to put the cover on and off. In a year or so I'll have a garage at home too.

I got the Factory hood, front parts of the front fenders, and mirrors. Before my trip from Miami to Alaska, I got a company to do the grill and bumper. WELL WORTH IT!!

Also did the lower doors myself with custom Vinyl. Some people don't like it but I do..

    To come.
Just for reference, I just got my new truck and had a full front end install of SunTek PPF Ultra at KI Studios / Protective Film Solutions in San Diego. It included full hood, bumper, fenders, overfenders and headlights. That usually runs around $2000-ish. This new SunTek stuff is supposedly as good as Xpel. I'm doing the rockers now... and then coating the whole thing with Ceramic Pro.

If you wanna do it yourself the 30ml bottle with cost your around $60, but if you need a cut and buff your looking at acouple $100 to have someone clean the paint before you apply the ceramic coat.

Got it. Thanks, I will take a closer look at it. It's funny I will spend money on some stuff and not blink any eye but other things it's just painful to pull the trigger

Are those OEM mudguards? I had them on my second gen and they didn't last because they weren't remotely flexible. I need some in a big way now and am curious if they are flexible? Thanks.

These are the plasti-color ones. Think @smitty99 has a link to them. Super flexible. After my journey from Miami to Alaska, they were folded back from the constant wind. Took them a few days to settle back down lol. I might take a go pro and see how they look when driving. May be a reason rocks are still flying back. Might have to put like a tube in the front's of them or something to make them more rigid.

Thanks! I wonder if there is an in between one that might work too? I hated my OEM ones on my second gen. That crap was dragging on everything.

Not sure. I liked these due to the 4x4 stamp on the back of them. Might just take clothes hanger wire or something, epoxy that to the front's then black paint over that to blend it in so you don't see it. Should be more flexible and allow it to bend when needed.

My last work car had a clear bra applied to the bumper and part of the hood and fenders. I put 100K miles on it in 3 years crossing Washington mountain passes weekly all year long. When I got rid of the car it looked new.

The car before that got the exact same use over 100K miles........front end paint on that car with out the clear bra was fuct. Peppered so bad that the paint was falling off. Clear coat failure due to all the rock chips.

Paint protection film really works well IMO

FWIW mine have not folded like his. Maybe because mine are the shorter of the two options?

I have the factory Toyota sold accessory on my 17 OR and if I had paid for it I would be F*$&#@g pissed. Decent product (it's 3M) but the coverage for the price is not worth it IMO. The aftermarket shops usually offer more protection for a better price, I am considering getting a full front wrap done just because I am anal about marks. Plus keeping it clean is that much easier.

In terms of whether it's worth it or not? Abso-freaken-lutely! They pay for themselves time and time again when you don't have to deal with rock chips etc
