My 2012 has the fake hood scoop and I am constantly blinded by glare reflected off of it. Does anyone know someone who makes hood stickers that can solve this issue?

You could make a pattern with construction paper and cut a piece of vinyl to cover it.

    Drive at night?

I think the hood swap thread will make you very popular if you offer a skewp for a non.

I always thought people were joking when they mentioned fake hood scoops on here. You’ve got to be kidding me, people actually want a fake one? Wow...reminds me of the fake car phone antennas of the 90s

If you buy a TRD Sport it automatically comes with one wether you want it or not

polarized gets funky if you have polarized tint,
though I heard that polarized tint is an old thing that got phased out
and supposedly polarized sunglasses are the better kind and make things look more vivid

    The TRD Sport has one,
people seem to want it, buying it or trading for it
I heard the non-sport flat one is better for off-roading due to more visibility

Yeah the Sport one bulges out,
BMW V8 M3's also have a bulge in the hood, I heard they called it "Power Bulge" to show that it's a big engine underneath,
I don't know if their engine actually needs that room,
and plus, sports cars are supposed to be engineering with weight down low anyway to handle better, so it probably doesn't
but the designers probably did it to have yet one more thing to set the car apart and differentiate it from a regular 3 series
which the average person probably doesn't notice anyway

honestly on my Sport I haven't noticed much glare, but I guess I didn't commute home at the right sun angle just yet.
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. So I suppose if I was driving towards the sun when it's at a certain level, it might bounce off the hood and into my eyes. But so far, I haven't experienced that yet.

It looks like one positive aspect of the sport hood is that with it's non-used inlet grille, people use that space to install a hidden light bar. But I don't know if those are effective and shine light well or not, due to their angle and position.
