    I've watched the video of the 1st gen Tacoma hood lift install more than once, and my question is this - why are the hood brackets oriented on the hood in that video the opposite of the way they are in the 3rd gen 4Runnner installation video?

    It'll work either way, but follow the instructions rather than the videos (flat part of the bracket toward the hood).
