Has anyone put a gas charged lift support on a 1st gen Tacoma hood? I replaced the one on my wife's Saab & the replacement (aftermarket) won't hold up the hood. So now I got an OEM. The aftermarket is essentially new. Shipping to return may be almost what it cost. Soo...maybe put it on the Taco? The hood on the Taco is much lighter than the Saab, so it should hold it up. But how to mount it? And where? Thoughts, ideas, how - tos, pics if you did it, where to source the ball mounts all would be helpful. TIA, Stan

Thanks. Their install manual was helpful.
