I have a brand new Pro Kit in cool white if someone wants it. After seeing this and living in New England and having more cold months than warm. I am not going to risk it falling into the engine compartment in the winter. Going to go a different route. Anyways let me know? Or can I send it back for a full refund?

Yup. 3M or Scotch brand. If you can, peel off the adhesive thats on the LED strip and apply the tape on there. At least thats what I did.

I used Scotch brand tape for my grill letters. It works great!

I too had issues with the strip coming down. I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned again and still had issues. This was in Texas way before colder weather set in. I thought it was my installations skills so I never said anything (I love the lights) but since so many are having issues I thought I'd post my problems. I solved it with a bit of "Red Green" ingenuity. That is Duck Tape. A few 1/8" strips of gray duck tape placed 10 - 12" apart along the run with a more generous piece at the ends. It's held up for quite a while and is hardly noticeable as it blends in with the gray color of my truck.

Yep! Decided to check mine tonight and the entire thing (LED) light stip was hanging loose in the radiator area. What is the fix? Do we report this and wait for the OP to send out a repair kit? [IMG]

I believe as he said in his above post, he is trying to work out a solution or fix.

I think OP got a new supplier and apparently the adhesive quality is a little different. I used the 3M (Scotch brand is just as good) double sided tape and it has worked perfectly ever since. It's only been about a month but It would have fallen after a day or so if it was going to fall.

Man I want one of these pretty bad. I'd like to see how yours is holding up over 6 months, even a year. Which 3M DS tape did you use? I looked it up and there is a ton of different kinds.

Like I was mentioning earlier, I've sold over 200 of these kits, but this last batch of 50 had some defective adhesive on the LED strips in it. Shane and I are ditching the old supplier for a new one, you won't find me taking look at anything they supply. Even if the new supplier's LED adhesive is stronger than super glue, the new kits will have the suppliers stock adhesive removed and reapplied with high grade VHB double sided tape during the assembly here in the USA. While the failure of these few kits, or even the damage to my companies reputation hurts, it doesn't nearly sadden me as much as the thought that I let you guys down. I really do apologize for anyone who's kit has fallen off, I will do what it takes to make sure everyone is 100% satisfied.
As I mentioned before all this is still relatively new but we've come very far in a short period of time.
Thanks guys, and to you all who have chimed in.

P.S. if you haven't noticed im up at my only available hours again, if you need to reach me during the day and have purchased one of my kits, you can find my number in the PM i sent you. Thank you all!

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
A few quick notes while we get a solution mailed out to each of you. With any luck, that should be this week.

    1) The problem seems only to be with any lights purchased after this past Thanksgiving. Previous sales had a better batch.

    2) For a quick, cheap, easy, and temporary fix that does not require a complete uninstall of the entire kit, and allows for our solution to be easily installed once you get it:
. a) If your loom is still holding strong, loop the LED strip back onto the loom and zip-tie or twist-tie it to the loom. You may need to remove the 2" strip of VHB at the LED->loom transition to do this.
. b) If your loom is not holding strong, or you have installed the loom with your own method, coil the hood portion of the lighting kit (LED strip + loom) into a roughly 6"-diameter coil, zip-tie or twist-tie it so it stays together, and stuff it into the space between the hood hinge and the brake master cylinder.

    3) If you are one of the unlucky ones to have gotten a bad batch, and your strip has fallen down, please PM/email/call Brad. Messaging me is only going to result in a delay, as I will simply forward it to him anyway.

I use this BT-3854 Killer Red double sided tape at work, It sticks to everything no problem. If all BeeRadd is doing is changing the adhesive tape form the manufacturer to a stronger brand maybe this tape might work better. Quote below with specs from a Seller of this tape.

Killer Red" heavy duty, double coated industrial tape is 8 mil thick. High-tech, pressure-sensitive, acrylic-based permanently bonds many materials, but is best for plastic-to-metal and metal-to-metal applications. Great double stick tape for adhering acrylic, Plexiglas, ABS plastics, and low energy substrates to a wide variety of substrates. UV and temperature resistant from -30 degrees F up to 350 degrees F. Crystal clear, permanent, weatherproof tape tested to be flawlessly powerful; nasty strong. 3" core. 180-foot (60 yard) rolls in widths shown below. - See more at: http://www.cutting-mats.net/double-stick-fabric-tape.html#sthash.zWpT90MO.dpuf

Thank y'all for the suggestions. I actually have a supplier I've used before that I'm quite happy with. I have something like 500 feet of the stuff enroute, just waiting on the mailman. In the meantime, I'm using my personal stash to fulfil repair orders. They should be leaving momentarily.
