    Ello folks,
I have in my possession the fix to the bad LED strip adhesives. I also have a small list of people these will be going to, if you're name is NOT on this list please contact me as soon as possible so I can mail you out one.
The fix is a strip of 3M VHB double sided adhesive tape. It comes in a small roll, ready to use. This is the same tape that will be used to replace the stock adhesive on all future kits. Even if the adhesive is good, it will be replaced with this. Now that I know bad factory adhesive on the LED strip is even a possibility, I can't, won't, sell another kit without it.
For those (4) of you waiting on the orders you placed, the new kits are being modified right now. They will be out as soon as possible, stay tuned and feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions.

Here is my list of recipients for the repair kit:

Just sent this to one of my customers and thought I'd share on here:

I really can't thank you enough for being so patient. Im used to shipping out these kits within 36 hours of payment but after we had a 6th customer's kit fail due to the adhesive I couldn't release another one until the problem was solved. The factory adhesive on the led strip was faulty and had to be removed and replaced with something better. Well we did that but we didn't use what was better, we used the best. 3M Double sided VHB tape, the frikkin widow-maker.
Anyway, I literally just finished sealing the packages for all kits and orders after we finished modifying the kits tonight, So now they are ready to ship. I will be printing your shipping label, (you should receive an email with tracking) and dropping off your parcel tomorrow night at the latest. You'll probably receive your kits on Friday or Saturday.

    Thanks once again

This is for those waiting ever so patiently on their kits. Ive never had other peoples money for this long without sending a product and every day it bothers the absolute CRAP out of me.

Gah. Okay. Repair kits and New, modified kits being shipped out tomorrow. Thanks for waiting guys!

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
I've had my lights installed for three years now. So it's one of those things that's just always there, totally normal, nothing I even give a thought to.
Went to work on a friend's Tundra a few nights ago. Could not figure out why I was having such a difficult time topping off fluids. And then it occurred to me: I couldn't fucking see!
I had gotten so used to full illumination any time the hood is open that I now *expect* light whenever a hood is open. And now it's damn hard to work on any vehicle without them.
So beware! If you are the Maintainer Of Vehicles in your family/neighborhood/circle of friends/coworkers, you will be insisting they each buy a light and pay you to put it in! And you'll be installing one in each of your family's vehicles.

    Yes to all the above.

There isn't so much a "list" any longer, as more of just contacting Brad and letting him know you want one.
Repair kits have been put together and packaged. While I can't personally vouch for Brad having dropped said packages in the mail, my money is on him having done so. It is not hard to put a few more together, if we missed anyone.
I am currently ramping up production on more kits this week (using a different supplier this time). I should have several finished soon. In the meantime, there are several of the old kits that have had the original defective adhesive removed completely, cleaned up properly (acetone), and had genuine VHB installed. You will need to contact Brad for one of those kits.

If anyone is headed out to Rock Therapy '15 (end of May......check the Moab section), we will have several kits on hand, and will be available to answer any questions and take feedback or suggestions. With any luck, I will have some 2nd-Generation kits available for beta testing, as well.
