I notice a dull spot on the hood of my 2011 with 2.7L near the center of the hood by the exhaust side of the engine. Has anyone else notice this, on there trucks?
My truck is white in color.

It's not the paint, it's the clear coat. Just take a high speed buffer and polish to it. I work in the paint repair department for Honda, we make the Civic and CRV in these plants and for that 'haze' like look we simply polish it out.

Common issue with single stage paint, esp the white. Single stage requires much more maintenance than clear coated paint. As stated above a good cleaning polish and wax is in your future.

Super whites have no traditional clear coat. Mine had a spot right above the oil filter. Clay bar and wax the hell out of it. It is still there but less noticeable.

...I too have a white 2011, and have noticed a dull spot in the same area on my hood, in addition to, a spot on the pax side door. I called local Toyota, and they advised me to come in for their service manager to observe as it's a warranty issue. Not to mention, they stated it's a common problem on white tacos.

When I have time to visit dealer I'll let you know outcome.

To the post above, I have a good buffer, but was unable to do it any justice. Yes, I've detailed my autos for years using the buffer, clay bars, etc. so I do have adequate experience.
