Hey there. Anybody have any experience/insights replacing the hood release cable off their '02 Tacoma? Mine's been problematic for some time but finally gave up the ghost yesterday.

Namely, I guess I'm most curious about how to attach a new one to the actual hood latch..? I'm having a difficult time finding the spot where the old one meets the latch. Will I have to remove the radiator? I've followed the release cable from the firewall thru the engine compartment and it sorta disappears somewhere between the latch and the radiator.

Any suggestions/insights? In the meantime, I'll browse YouTube a bit and see what I can come up with. Thanks.. I appreciate your time.

It's not too tricky. Don't need to remove the radiator but you do need to unbolt the hood latch from the core support. That will reveal how it hooks onto the back of the latch
