I finished mounting my light using the C4 Fab bracket last night. Unfortunately, I have a issue with the fit of the scoop. The rear lip, closest to the windshield is raised leaving a gap and is no longer flush with the hood. I didn't have time to figure out what was causing it, but was wondering if anyone has had issues getting the scoop to sit down tight/flush in the hood the way it did originally.

is the bottom side of the scoop hitting on the top of the light?

It may be. It's kind of what I was thinking, but it was dark and getting late last night. Probably won't get to look at it this evening, since its been raining all day.
    If it is, suggestions?

Here is what the scoop looks like in the hood. Viewed from pass. side by windshield. I still can't figure out the cause. I can put pressure between under his support/frame and hood and close the gap some, but not completely and it won't stay.
    Ideas?

How thick should the washers be on the scoop studs? Would too thick cause my issue?

I initially had this issue as well. I just loosened the brace, moved it around a bit and tightened it down again. After a little manipulation, it sat flush again.

You could try removing the washers to see if it helps. I also responded to your email. Hopefully we can find a way to resolve the issue!

Thanks for the replies. I've been really busy and haven't gotten to work on it, or reply until now. I'm planning on using some 3M tape to hold that area down. I think it will work, I just hope it's not too thick.

Just wanted to follow up, the 3M double sided tape worked, the scoop is flush. The install is complete.

There will not be any group buys coming up. We only have two brackets left in stock and don't plan to make any more. This hasn't been a real popular item, plus its a fairly time consuming process for us to make the bracket, considering how much it sells for. We sell a lot of the brackets for the 05-11 Tacomas and 03-09 4runners, so we will continue to produce those. However, the 11-15 Tacoma scoop is so small and harder to work with that most people don't want to put in the time to perform the swap so they can run an LED bar that puts out much less light than the 05-11 kit does.
If you guys are both ready to buy, I will sell the last two brackets to you for 35.00 each instead of the regular 65.00.

I would be interested in one of the brackets, if you have an extra.

I also would like a bracket. I've been waiting on this mod, but since you aren't going to be making them anymore I'll jump on it. Already PM'd and funds are ready.
