I just got off the phone with Caleb....it's going to be a little more involved than I have time to deal with right now. It also requires some cutting that is like to see his pics before I dive in and cut my scoop. Doesn't look too crazy though.

BTW - Caleb, a quick test fit on mine and I think the feet for my light are going to need to be mounted under the bracket instead of on top of it.

wait until I get pics up. Im sure you wont have any issues with fitment. The tabs that come with the light need to be mounted with the short leg to the stud on the light.

Ok here we go with instructions!

First remove the 4 nuts holding in your hood scoop using a 10mm socket
    [IMG]
Next pop the plastic clips loose. For the orange one just squeeze lightly and push up with a needle nose.
The blue ones up inside the structure of the hood are a bit more tricky, but not too bad. take a small flat blade screwdriver and lightly pry on either side of the clip at a time while applying a bit of upward pressure to the bottom of the scoop. The clip and scoop should pop up pretty easily after you lightly pry on them.
    3_zpsc92ed404_a46543eeb6de00be926061f2d202dc068321e109.jpg
Then lift the scoop out of the hood.
I do not have a picture, but the black plastic grille inside the front of the scoop needs to be taken out before proceeding with any cutting! Just push down on the tabs with a screwdriver to pop the grille out of the scoop.

Next remove the black plastic clips from the back of the scoop. Use a 1/4" drill bit or similar to drill out the rivets that hold them in place. These parts can be discarded.
Now cut off the round plastic nubs that those parts were attached to. I used a pneumatic die grinder with a cut off wheel. Here is an up close shot of the parts that need to be cut off.

This is the most tricky part that requires a steady hand and some patience so you don't cut the scoop in the wrong place or gouge the paint on the outside of the scoop. Take your time and remove a little at a time until the opening is the proper size. Its very easy to remove too much or gouge into the visible part of the scoop on the outside.
An opening must be cut out of the back of the scoop to allow the light to shine through. This opening is about 12 3/8" long and the width of the back portion of the false scoop opening. I marked mine out with a permanent marker first.
Basically you cut just to the outside edge of where the round plastic nubs were that got removed in the last step. I made guidelines with my permanent marker on the front and back of the scoop, even though I did all the cutting from the backside.

Make sure you hold the die grinder or similar tool at an angle that will allow the blade to come through the front side of the scoop without gouging into the front side of the scoop.

Your dogs will be giving you this look when they see you taking a die grinder to the backside of the scoop on your shiny new Tacoma!

Your opening should look similar to this. Do not cut off the two plastic tabs that have the metal mounting studs in them! You still need those for re-assembly.
Don't worry about cutting the sides of the hole perfectly with the die grinder.
I used an electric angle grinder with a scotch brite wheel to smooth out the cut and knock it down to an even height across the entire opening.
Then I finished up with a medium tooth file to square the corners and remove burs.
Your opening should look like this when all finished!

Now you need to trim a bit off the inner structure of the hood to make room for the bracket and mounting tabs that come with the light.
Basically this area where I have the black permanent marker needs to be cut out and made into a square inside corner instead of a rounded corner.
I used the same die grinder tool with cut off wheel to trim out this portion. It will look like this after trimming.

Next the tabs provided with the AVEC light need to be mounted with the short leg to the stud. Tighten the tabs horizontally to the bottom of the light like this.
Then the light can be put into the hood from the bottom side. with the tabs down and the wiring on the driver side.
Push the light into the hood inner structure so it is back out of the way of the scoop opening.

next drop the bracket into the scoop opening from the top side. It can be put in from the bottom, but its much easier from the top.
Hold the bracket with the logo upside down and tip the wide end of the bracket in first, then lay the bracket flat.
    30_zpsfdc46f75_595ac91fa5248a5a3e206298534d83ad8d00f4de.jpg
the bracket will sit like this
    32_zps24859e08_7e5cfebaa50843056665097b8b44ae1f572ef6b0.jpg

Line up the bracket with the holes that the studs on the scoop go through.
    33_zps085cf4f2_6bf42938452cc22e614579b1ca0ac79e165c5560.jpg
Now you can re-install the scoop from the top of the hood. First you need to put the two supplied washers on the rear two mounting studs of the scoop. These washers go in between the hoods inner structure and the scoop, helping support the scoop towards the back where the hole gets cut for the light. I put a dab of grease on the scoop studs first to help hold the washers in place while dropping the scoop back into the hood.
Now you can put the scoop studs through the holes in the hood and then through the holes in the bracket. push down firmly on the top of the scoop so all three plastic tabs snap into place.
    34_zps34d185ae_7df4eb0ba22eceaef8b090836ed72d2c217affc3.jpg
Slide the lightbar forward towards the scoop and align the lightbar tabs with the supplied bracket. Use the mounting bolts that AVEC sends with the light to attach the light to the bracket.

This is the only part of the install that I do not have a pic of. The black plastic grille that was removed from the scoop at the beginning needs to be trimmed so the ends can snap back into place. measure how large your opening for the light is and cut the same amount out of the middle of the grille. Basically you will be left with one piece from each end about and 1 1/2" long that will snap back into place on the sides of the scoop.
    DSCN0690_zpsbad77ef8_f8604954afcf08f27a58bd5b2d41057f8ead99cb.jpg
Hopefully one of the members doing an install can post a final pic of that for me.

Bracket installation is done! Now you just have to run the wiring harness and decide where to put your switch!

That will definitely help with the install. I'm going to try to get mine in tomorrow. It is a balmy 10 degrees right now and my truck doesn't exactly fit in my garage to do the work.

I have not gotten ahold of a 4runner to see if this same setup will work.
