Maybe it’s just me, but I think light bars in general look shitty. Give me some fogs, maybe low pro ditch lights and move on with your life. Why on earth do you need seven Baja Design LP9s attached to your roof? :der:

I agree too. The only time I could see having light bars, is if I was going off road at night, which I don't see why anyone would do, or if I was a hunter and wanted to do spotlighting which I think, has been made illegal in some if not all areas. So I don't get it either, but then again, there are a lot of mods out there that some people like and others don't like. So to each his own, I guess!

It’s like we get it bro, you can see five miles down the trail and you have 45 minutes to prepare yourself.

Today alone I saw a ram with raptor lights in the hood scoop and a rav4 with raptor lights in the grille, it practically triggers me.

I have two light bars on my rig. Admittedly that ended up being overkill and I could have gone with just one, but I digress.

I go all the time at night out in the desert in the summertime. It gets 120+ during the day and the only time I get to go shooting is at night, since I have to be at work early in the morning. I also hunt jackrabbits and coyotes at night, and some of the trails to get out there are pretty gnarly. My old off road rig was a beat up Montero and I literally used to hang a big spotlight out the window to see where I was going, since the headlights didn't cut it. Now I see EVERYTHING and its quite nice thank you very much.

BTW the law in CA states that you simply have to be out of your vehicle in order to shoot varmints. So its much easier to spot them with all the lighting when you are driving.

If I had to start from scratch though, I would have skipped the grill light, and just upgraded to factory LEDs

For me, the real drive for my lighting is about being able to find a good spot to camp. The stock lights are fine for slower speed trail running. But I'm packing extra lights so I don't go around in circles trying to find a good spot, because the obviously great spot is hidden from view due to shitty lighting.

Factory LEDs are great, but I would hope they would get dunked on by a 20" lightbar. Lightbars don't have to conform to SAE standards and can pump a ton of light.

I went from normal halogens to OEM LEDs and the difference may disappoint you. Yeah it's better but the color temp of the stock halogens will match your BD bar better, and the raw output is very similar. I'd do it again for sure, but only for the looks side of things.

I have this, https://store.ijdmtoy.com/products/led-lightbar-kit-35-966?variant=19878772637799 in the sport hood, and a diode dynamics 32" bar hidden in the grille between the grille and bumper. after driving with light bars in rural settings, and in northern Ontario, it sucks to drive a vehicle without them. having enough light to see moose, deer, bear etc... is PRICELESS. have a similar set up, in my 2500, bumper and grill bars. Oh yea I would still definitely want the lightbar in my bumper (BD). I'm just saying the 2nd Rigid light bar in the grill was redundant.

You are correct, there is no comparison between headlights and light bars (high quality ones anyway)

If I had a Sport hood, I'd have one, no sarcasm or doubt about it.

Funny thing …. I really thought I wanted the Raptor lights. Was jonesin’ to get them but just never got around to it, but they on my list. But then it happened … I actually saw one. A third Gen up close and personal with the raptor lights. Ugh! Iwas so disappointed. I really didn’t like them. It just looked, I don’t know, fake or forced. Not really sure what it was but they just did not look like they belong on the truck.
    Just IMHO …
